That was going to be my very next question!

Redshirting but working with the second team. Will be a battle with Cleveland for that RT spot next year.

gotcha...guess I figured he'd play right away due to expectations.

Cleveland has had some solid play lately. I specifically looked out for him the past 2 games and he was getting some good stops at RT and showed some athleticism when getting outside to block for the backs. I specifically remember him getting one of his big mitts on a rusher and just stopping him dead in his tracks with just one arm. I was like, damn that kid is strong as hell.

The improvement to o-line depth has been nothing short of amazing. Regardless of who starts, the back up at RT next year will likely be Cleveland or I. Wilson. And Netori Johnson seems destined for a redshirt. Just awesome, and I credit fat Pittman as much as Kirby for that specific short-term turnaround. Trench warfare looking good.

Not being confrontational just curious. Is Salyer really polished enough to take kendall bakers lg spot? I mean I thought he was the weak link earlier in the season but he has been playing really well.

This wasn't directed at me per se but if you watch any film on this kid I don't think he's lost very many reps. He's so very strong and he really is athletic as heck. He just uses his arms really well to stuff guys at the point-of-attack. My favorite thing to see him do is move down the field and he just bulldozes guys left and right. He was competing with the Seniors at The Opening last year as a Junior and almost took home MVP honors. He's as legit as it gets. He and Clay Webb from '19 are stupidly good OL.
This quote from 2016's Opening by Bud Elliot is just one of many that show how dominant this kid is, "Perhaps the best player of the entire event was Jamaree Salyer of Atlanta's Pace Academy. Salyer is a 2018 and was whipping upperclassmen on a consistent basis. It's rare to see a big man so young, yet adept at using his large body. Often, younger big men are awkward and not fully comfortable with using their size. Salyer didn't reach or lunge. He showed good patience and balance, delivered a huge punch and then drove his feet."

I hope he doesn’t go to Tennessee where he can get leadership reps as well.

I'd be surprised if he didn't take it by middle of his freshman year. He may not take it by game 1... but he's a more polished prospect than Andrew Thomas was, who's had no real trouble holding down the fort for us at RT so far. He's not lighting the world on fire and he's making some freshman mistakes, but he's been improving week to week and I'd expect the same type of performance from Salyer.

Any official visits scheduled for Saturday?
I have no idea. Officials are something I don't actively keep up with. (I am thinking you meant this as an in general question and not particularly at me, but I wanted to answer, just in case)

Someone big on the bye week. Amazing seeing in-state talent stay home.

Kirby knows what he's doing. You think we're gonna lose any momentum on a bye week? Well let's just have a highly coveted 4 star head our way.

He's gonna get a deserved bump to 5. He better lol.

Think he does it about once a month...
On the first page, I have a post about halfway down or so that has a link to a google doc where I've been keeping up with commitments, high value targets, and scholarship numbers.

We talking about a guy from Rome? or Florida?
Offense or defense?

I'm just guessing here...
but it was said he was "In-state" talent, and then proceeded to use the hashtag #wolfpack
so the only logical guess is he's an offensive player from Florida
