You know the best (or 2nd best depending on who you ask) receiver in the NFL is 5'10" right?

He's a ridiculous athlete and probably a top 100 player or better by the time everything is said and done.

Actually yes, yes it is.

Well my opinion on what all the teams see in Kearis is his quickness and ability to run crisp routes while actually making great catches. We brought in quite a few guys over 6'2" last year. I think of him more like Antonio Brown.

Heck some of the top WRs in the NFL aren't 6'3"+ like;

Antonio Brown - 5'10"
Odell Beckham Jr - 5'11"
T.Y. Hilton - 5'10"
Doug Baldwin - 5'10"
Brandin Cooks - 5'9"
Tyreek Hill - 5'10"
Etc etc etc

I agree that we want some big long receivers who can go up for the ball but being balanced with quick, sure-handed, excellent route runners makes us more dangerous.

Go put on Kearis Jackson's tape. He is a stud. Plucks the ball out of the air plus will be a factor in the return game.

Also, he was referring to Antonio Brown

THen you got guys like Julio, AJ Green, Mike Evans, B Marshall, Eric Decker, D Thomas, M Bryant, J Gordon, etc.

And really only A Brown and OBjr can be considered in the top group of WRs, but I would still rather have Julio or AJ Green over those two.

However, we still need those taller WRs and those smaller quicker guys as well.

I love how the Patriots use small quick receivers. Those guys get open quickly and get a ton of yards after the catch. Tall and short both can work.

Odell Beckham Jr. is listed at 5'11"
Antonio Brown is listed at 5'10"

Probably the top two receivers in the league, depending on who you ask. I'm partial to Julio, though.

ETA: I now see this was covered.

It's been covered, and I understand your point on wanting height because it's something we've lacked recently at the receiver position.

I don't want all my WRs to be Kearis' height, but I'll absolutely take a couple good receivers under 6 feet.

It wasn't a 6'3 or 6'4 guy who burned Bama and Ohio St.

Height isn't as important as being able to create separation, imo. Taller is better if all else is equal, but there just aren't that many tall, quick dudes who can catch.
