If Thompson has a huge year and is a first round lock, the dominoes will fall into place. I say we give the man a chance to show his coaching ability before we say he "sucks" and is a flop of a hire.

Go put on Kearis Jackson's tape. He is a stud. Plucks the ball out of the air plus will be a factor in the return game.
Also, he was referring to Antonio Brown

Holy Sh*t the Owen Condon tape is Taylor Lewan level nastiness. Guess he's playing against no one, but you can't dominate anymore than he does

quote:
Just FYI, Wynn is a Clemson legacy. His father played football there.
They haven't been going after Wynn as hard as UGA, Bama, OSU, and SCAR. Unless something dramatically changes, he won't suit up for Clemson.
“I can say if Clemson was recruiting me as hard as some of these other schools were, then you maybe could think that I might become that legacy,” Wynn said. “But that wasn’t true like that. I never was going around saying I was playing with these offers and was going to Clemson anyway. That never was my look. I am going to go to the best school for me. …" - per AJC

I think we have to get Fields. Feels like a Watson loss if he ends up at PSU. Hell, he might even help our baseball team become relevant again

Transfer QB from Notre Dame. Had previously narrowed list to Wisconsin and UNC. Now says its between Texas and a "mystery team". Wouldn't be shocked if the Gators end up getting him considering he's putting off his decision until after SEC spring meetings. Small sample size but he did beat LSU in the Music City Bowl - playing due to injury.

5 star DB Tyreke Johnson was just CB'd to us by Andrew Ivins (Miami insider). It's only one CB but great to see some positive news on this front. Felt like we had a lot of momentum w/ him a few months ago

Yes, let's actually talk UGA recruiting. Teague would be a great pickup (especially for this TN resident Dawg) and all signs are pointing towards him in Athens. I do need Rusty to give me that last CB for full confidence.
Side note: I think we all need to relax. Chris Smith is an elite corner and will show it throughout the summer. We're looking good for Zamir, at minimum 1 of the 2 massive OGs, and Kearis Jackson is a must-get. My only real concern for this class is the inability to find DL/DE/OLB depth. Hopefully, we can work some magic w/ Stephon Wynn, Parsons, Henry, TK, etc.
Finally, as we all agree, this is an important season for UGA in the win column. A nice run and a trip to ATL will force all of these top '18 kids to take a long look - whether they're committed elsewhere or not. The offers are out there, now let's go win some games.

I think he sees the 2 bookend tackles we have ahead of him for the next 3-4 years. :dunno:

May as well fire up a '19 thread. Kids are coming in hot and I don't see it stopping.
Now to just get some '18s...think the seal will be broken by our ol' pal Zamir

Just like with J Holloman, seems like this guy just doesn't have the qb to really show out. Whenever Holloman was at camps, he was always a top performer. Think I've read similar things on Perriman..
