Kristofak battles back to 2 strikes and 2 outs with men on 2nd and 3rd in the Bottom of the 13th. Routine grounder gets by both Shepherd and whoever was on 3rd. Bama wins

That was not a routine grounder. It was a high chop that took an in between hop. Would have been a tough play by third. Short had no play

Looked routine to me but then I'm barely awake and there was no fricking replay because even with the SEC Network the production quality is trash

Yeah, would have been an outstanding play to get the out there.

Our pitching is so weird, on one hand we strike out 22 batters, which is absolutely amazing even with extra innings, but we also walk like 6 people and hit another 5, which is just embarrassing. With how tough our SEC schedule is, it is pretty important to win a series against a team like Bama, I guess we'll see how the team responds.

At one point last nght we were batting Trey Logan with runners in scoring position and 2 out, then we were betting Kristofak. I know it was extra innings and I know Schunk appears to be our best relief pitcher but do we really not have enough options on the traveling squad to not be able to put a meaningful threat at the plate in extra innings?

We are complete trash in late innings without a 10 run lead.

We led 6-0 to start the Bot 8th. We now lead by 1 after Hancock was finally pulled after surrendering 1 and Cairnes comes in to let 4 more in.

And with 2 outs, we flub a 3-1 toss to first to retire the side.

Maxwell gets a 1 out double in the 9th, makes it to 3rd with 2 out, Schunk hits into a 6-3 groundout. Going to have to find a way to get 3 more outs but I fear the absolute worst as our bullpen begins facing the rest of our SEC slate

Well we pulled out the dub. This bullpen is gonna get back alley prison pummeled once we get into the heart of SEC play though. They probably won't have as many leads to blow though, a silver lining of sorts.

Bama has the bases loaded and we hit somebody to bring a run in, then follow it up by walking a run in. I can't for the life of me understand why that happens so much under Stricklin.

To start the bottom of the 7th, Locey walks the first batter, then hits a guy batting .200 on a 1-2 count, then nails a guy trying to lay a sacrifice...what’s next

What a cluster frick...

ETA: Bases loaded, no outs. Strikeout and a double play to get out of the inning

FWIW that was Mason's 2nd HR, not his 1st like the announcer said.

ETA: He is also a Redshirt Freshman, not a Redshirt Sophomore

Our bullpen might be the death of me over the course of this season. They're awful.
