Yea, I've seen they're only going to take around 20 or so. I imagine they'll try and find a way to make room for more since that's an incredibly small class with some exceptional talent that would be turned away due to numbers.

Out of curiosity....with people talking about LeCounte getting a bump to 5 stars when they re-rank the recruits...how often do they redo the rankings, and when is the next one due?

Sample size is a challenge, but definitely recruiting at a level we have not ever seen. If he's able to sustain this, he will find a spot in the playoffs before all is said and done... winning the 'ship I don't know, but he'll put us in a place to have a shot. So much has to go right to win it all... We should not get "out jimmy'd and joe'd" by many teams after year 2 if he keeps this up though.

This likely is getting talked about so much due to how *low* 247 has him ranked compared to the other services.

Composite at 37 overall, #2 Safety - 247 independent ranking of 62 overall, #6 Safety with room to grow at Scout as well. (ESPN is carrying the torch for him at 11th which might be a bit high, but frick it he deserves a bump as top recruiter as well).

As far as how often, I think they usually do a big re-ranking after the "camp" season is over and then maybe one mid-season, one end of season during the year as well? Not certain on that though, just going off of memory. Other than that, I believe there is some minimal movement throughout the year in general.

I see. I was not sure if it was maybe every other month....on a regular schedule, or just when certain events (Camps, etc) triggered it.

Thanks!

Can't imagine having Eason, Fromm, and Lawrence on the same team.

How would that work? Are Fromm and Lawrence okay with only having 1 year to start before they enter the draft?

Clemson has an Elite 11 QB too. They'll be competing everywhere they go

We had two Elite 11 QBs in the same class - Mettenberger and Murray.

These things work themselves out. It's Kirby's job to line up superstar QBs, and it's the superstar QB's job to, well, earn the job (or not).

Kirby's doing his job, and I'm sure our QB recruits will fight like He*l to get the job.

It's our job to enjoy the show, not worry about having too many good QBs on the roster.

I don't think that is the worry among us on here. It is whether or not a top tier qb wants to be behind other talented qbs like, Eason #2 rated and Fromm who could end up as a top 3 rated qb after this season. I know other schools has talent, but do they have guys this highly rated like we have at UGA? I get these guys are true competitors but it is best to think about these things. With that said, I do hope he is all DAWG, and we can figure out the rest later.

Have Eason play his Fresh, Soph and Jr years and go pro, #1 overall pick.

Then have Fromm start as a JR, and have T.L. a red shirt freshman. Depending on Fromm does, either go pro as #1 over all pick (again), or stay for the Sr season. If the latter happens, TL gets the rock as a Jr and Sr. THis would be the ideal scenario, and of course, TL will go #1 overall as well.

Clemson currently has the number 1 qb for the 2017 committed.

Yes they do... I highly doubt he's #1 by signing day. He's going to drop...

Apparently we're the only SEC school to make Okudah's top 6... for whatever that's worth. LINK

That would be just stupid....I'm guessing it's Ohio State or Oklahoma, but would lose my shite if we pulled him with Lecounte

I don't see any way we get JO but with the secondary haul we're expecting I really don't care.

I assumed this might have been the case, but Alabama did not make the top 6, so thought that was a bit strange. Agreed that regardless of who he picks I'm not too concerned, just interesting more than anything else.

If we got the following, I would just as easily lose my shite:

LeCounte
Poole
Brini

and any 3 of the following:
Jacoby Stevens
AJ Terrell
Jamyest Williams
Deangelo Gibbs

5 out of those 8 would be hella good still, but if we keep what we have and get 3 out of the other 4, Legion of Boom Part Deux will be well on its way (Briscoe and Hardman already on campus as well). Just think about that 2 deep...

Top guy in FL at Safety also high on the dawgs for 18, so if we can stay CB heavy in 17, that would not be a bad thing.
