That should seal it for Nico. Best of luck to him. Excited about Holloman, Webb and to a lesser extent Landers.

Something tells me he wasn't a take..

With AS not coming maybe we had to give up a WR spot for DL depth

I mean I know he wasn't a can't miss WR but he struck me as talented enough that he would have been worth taking if he was willing

Tight numbers make tough decisions though

And I guess with Holloman, Webb, Blount, and Landers were certainly not hurting with numbers

I can't wait for Wednesday so we can see what the future of UGA football looks like.

Nico was definitely a take. Why would we waste his time by having him visit if he wasn't?

Ya losing Nico makes no sense. Like none.

I've read where people are saying we don't have room, but im calling sour grapes. You don't invite a kid final weekend of recruiting if you don't have room...not to mention wr is a sever position of need.

It's a great class either way but losing Soloman and Nico 5o Michigan is interesting to say the least. How can any southerner wanna play football in that fricking place lol.

Good luck to him, as long as he isn't playing ga

There was a lot of smoke a couple of weeks ago that Nico was a silent to UGA, would suck to see him go to UM. Although, A few months ago if you would've told me we would only get 1 of IW, AS, or NC away from Michigan, I would take IW without a doubt.

Why freak out over the cb's right now? How many cb's have we had go to us late and a kid still end up at fillintheblank U? Maybe he still ends up here, hell As long as the class holds what it has I'm fricking ecstatic in this upward trajectory in recruiting. 6 solid ee's and a haul of big uglies coming in, sheeeeit muhfrickas be happy!

Do we still have a shot at landing Brini?

Yes, we are very much in it for Brini and most think he is very high on our board.

Definitely a strange recruitment on our end.

2 weeks ago I was reading he wasn't a take for USF.. I agree though, I think we'd take him. He's got good size, plus any time you can pull a south Fla kid you should take the chance

Gotta wonder what sort of numbers game Kirby and Co. are telling him. With Brini, Speed, Jamyest, maybe even Stokes, I'd imagine at least one in that group (Speed, I'm guessing) is a silent.

So it looks like on signing day we get:
Speed and possibly JUCO Big Murch?

Those the only 2 we are feeling confident about?

I think Nico and Soloman to Mich
Bryant is up in the air between us, AU and LSU
JW is 50/50, but with USCe getting the final visit, I can't say I feel confident.

Is there anyone else we are in play for that I left out?

Wyatt, who also seems to be 50/50.

I don't think Wyatt is all that close to 50/50. I do think he's torn, but I still think it's more like 60/40.

I think Auburn made a mistake by focusing on Bryant's head coach and neglecting to make his family a priority. Rusty seems to think that his mother will play a fairly big role in where he ends up and his family really loved the trip to Athens. Anytime a recruit OV's somewhere, they generally have a really good time and there is a bit of a post-visit high, but in the end UGA has been his leader for over a year and we did a good job of "recruiting" his family. I could be off, but I still think he's a Dawg.

So, basically I think Speed and Bryant will be Dawgs and the last spot goes to: Jamyest, Brini, or Murchison in that order.

looks about right, maybe CKS has a surprise up his sleeve but the hay is pretty much in the barn...

ETA... Murch is leaning toward the Dawgs stronger per Rusty. Distance seeming to be a major factor for his family...

AS threw enough scent off the trail to possibly commit to the dawgs?

Good stuff on the PWO's...

quote:

For the kids w/the grades, the HOPE scholarship gives the PWO's a real shot. Particularly for guys who can really play but might be a shade smaller or 1/2 step slower...

Probably wasn't the intent when HOPE was created, but it seems like a pretty big advantage for us in recruiting & it seems like we're really starting to use it...

Also now they can pay for meals for the 105 kids on the roster. So with Hope or the Pell and meals, it is a good deal...

These kids are turning down full rides to other places in some cases. That's one thing that has REALLY CHANGED under CKS
