Ya know with Williams it isnt so much about him being too short to play DB...its just knowing that he will be returning kicks and punts and you know he will be on offense at USCe that scares me.
We play them every year and kids with a chip on their shoulder and with his abilities could be aggravating.
I say flip him and give him a shot at db.

Solomon said Florida, USC, Michigan, and Auburn made up his next group. The in-state program, Georgia, is also in the mix. "I would say they stand high up on my list because they were the first team to every come recruit me. There is loyalty to them, and I live in Georgia. You hear it every day." According to Solomon, the Bulldogs are behind the aforementioned five programs, but not by much.
How in the hell could we be behind Aub or Fl for Solomon. Why do I feel like we are being trolled...

Because we are. If something seems too good to be true it usually is. Let it go. We aint landing him.

I've seen Williams play exactly once against IMG. I'm pretty sure it was a playoff game, a game they lost. I was impressed with his athletic ability- ridiculously fast. He did look small, but so is iMac.
Edit: How could that be a playoff game?
IMG is in FL, right?
Anyway, I saw him play them iirc.

It wasn't a playoff game if it was IMG.

Yeah just thought of that.

That's not what he said a few days ago.

IMG played Grayson on ESPN early in the football season.

or he could be UGA bound. The guy is another mecole/ray drew/crowell/ton of other guys who are ALL over the map during recruiting but come here anyway.
All I needed to hear to know not to listen to anything else AS says is earlier this week he gave an interview and said "my mom wants me to go as far out of state as I can". Ummm...his mom is one of the biggest fans in our corner and she absolutely would want him to stay home.

When is Solomon scheduled to announce? NSD?
Does anyone have any idea when Collins, Bryant, and Warner announce as well?

Not gonna lie - This kid is kind of exhausting.

He's just one of those players that I'm not terribly worries about height with for whatever reason. I could end up eating crow on that and it's fine, but I really like the kid.
He's got a lot of talent and could turn out to be a great player. There's nothing wrong with anybody liking him a lot. Nobody can blame anybody else for wanting him in the class. I can assure you, I iwll not be upset if we get him.
It's just in my mind, I prefer guys that have really good tools with more size. That is just me playing it safe. There are a lot of great players that were on the smaller size, though.

In general, I shy away from guys where people say "he just knows how to make plays" when they don't meet baseline physical traits.

I agree. I think Jamyest is similar to guys like Terry Godwin and Mecole. In high school, their sheer athleticism allowed them to overcome their small frame but in the SEC everyone is athletic. The reality is that you can only be so effective if you are 5'7". I definitely still want him in our class, it would just be with the expectation that we would be getting a return specialist and maybe a nickel/slot defensive back, not like a shutdown corner/#1 receiver combo.

I'd say he's more like McKenzie even. Godwin and Mecole are both a good bit bigger than him.
