Fromm and LeCounte were together today, presumably filming the next commitment video. Hopefully it'll be up in the next couple of days.

That's why I prefaced it as rumors from the other sites. I believe it when it happens, just wanted to see if anyone else had been swing or hearing the same things

I have a question. I've been reading too much DawgNation lately. Is it true we can only sign 19 commitments? We can't sign guys like DeAngelo Gibbs, Nico Collins, and Xavier McKinney if they wanted to come to UGA? That would suck royally. We have numerous other scholarship offers on the table.

I was hoping we would get on a bit of a roll after Isaiah Wilson committed.

We already have 19 commitments. We'll be taking +/- 25 players. 23 looks like our number at the moment, but you might see more open up after the bowl game with another round of transfers.

Thanks for the info. I hope we can take at least 25 and work the numbers. I would like to see us close with a few more.

Gibbs, McBride, Bryant, Warner, and Solomon.

Give me those 5, call it a day at 24 and we have class that might be the best UGA has ever hauled in.

I know Solomon is a bit of a question mark right now, but if we can get some momentum on our side with McBride and Gibbs coming on board before or at the AA games, who knows what will happen. Mama is in our corner, gotta sell Aubrey, now.

3rd. Outside shot to move into 2nd, depending on how we close out and how many more OSU takes.

Recruiting gurus...

This whole Carter thing is hard to sort out. Did we pull his offer because we didn't have room for him to EE? Even if we couldn't EE why would would we pull the offer? Obviously we need RBs after this year.

OR does this mean we have big names in the pipeline for 2017 or 2018. Even if we couldn't fit him in pulling the kids offer seems like a Dick move. Process?

Just curious. Thanks.

A little bit of two things: #1- no one thought Chub and Michel coming back. NO ONE. Maybe a few thought there was a chance Michel might stay, but no one (with a properly functioning brain) predicted both. That eat's up 2 scholarships at the RB position. #2- Zamir White is the closest thing to a "can't-miss" RB prospect as there has been the past few years. We really, really need him to continue our legacy of excellent RBs.

I'm not a guru. But some common sense can piece together what happened.

With Sony and Chubb coming back and our 2 new verbal commits, that would have had 7 scholarship tailback out of the 85 man roster (I'm still counting Tae Crowder since he is on scholarship).

If we allow Carter to EE, then he is a firm spot. And that limits us elsewhere (1 less cornerback? 1 less inside linebacker? We refused the EE. We told him that he could wait until february to see if more room opened up (offering him a 'maybe'). He and his family decided to EE elsewhere.

The good news is that we are recruiting like mad dawgs to fill every possible worst case scenario. But when good news happens, we have to adjust the plan.

We gave him the full truth as soon as we could. But he didn't apprecite the opportunity to string along on a maybe. And for good reason, they are a bit salty about it right now. I'm sure he will have a great career at Texas. We didn't abandon him in February. I think it will work out best for both sides.

We completely pulled his offer according to his high school coach. I understand the move with numbers looking tight and quite a few big targets at important positions still left on the board.

Got to be hard to pull a scholly from a RB ranked that high. It's a different game in recruiting with Kirby. Kirby doesn't seem to be messing around and while it can be harsh, it looks like he's going to put the roster first over feelings. It hurts to lose Carter though.

D'Andre Swift looks like a beast though. He looks Moreno-esque in a bigger body. He can also catch the ball coming out of the backfield. Now if only we can get Eason to throw to the check downs rather than forcing it.

Bleh, hate pulling offers completely. I guess I get that is how it goes sometimes, just like when players decide to flip on us come signing day. Chip Towers says that CKS didn't even call Carter though, which seems pretty low. Who knows though
