I know if he can't go to Stanford I'd assume ND would be a nice 2nd place location if he is truly concerned about education pedigree. But then the Bammers think he is coming to Bama...I'd say they are in 3rd 4th place behind UGA.
I'd say its :
1) Stanford
2a) ND
2b) UGA
4) Bammer
Who knows with these kids but if he decides to stay home, I can't see him anywhere but UGA.
Of course..EJ Price happened...so ya...frick all I said, I don't know.

Has there been any more info on how much he would ACTUALLY need to qualify? Is it really that big of a stretch or not?

He has been a Bama verbal before and I think his brother likes Bama more, so I would move them up above Uga.

Probably right....but I am curious. If he was going to stay in the SEC why Florida would not be his top choice. Other than Vanderbilt (Which I fully understand why he would not go there) Florida would seem to be the strongest option academically. They also do a nice job of developing DBs, which he could easily play. Just curious about your opinions.

All speculation but it sounds like somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 pts.

Interview with Tyler Simmons - LINK
Thought the bit about knowing that Mecole was going to be a dawg was interesting, and that he was a behind the scenes contributor to Tyler flipping. Seems like there's sort of a 2 fold strategy there with kids where it's helpful to have the vocal committed guy (Eason would have been 16's, LeCounte for 17) as well as a more behind the scenes worker (in this case Hardman... no clue who this could be for 17 yet).
Also impressive he wants to get his degree in MEng. Glad we didn't lose him to the nerds (don't think they were in it for him).

MEng is noble. But with his credentials, he needs to major in NFL. Made it a point to say he hates cold weather when asked about ND. Gets pretty cold in South Bend. I think Kirby reels him in. I also thought he was visiting the 5th. Has that changed?

Ya. It's TBD. Not to bust balls, but that's been a topic in the last ~20 post on the thread since you last posted about the visit

Article with a few quotes from brother Carlos in here: LINK
Helps to nail down the timeline as best as it can be given the "fluid" nature.

We need to somehow convince Carlos that his brother can get an education above a high school level at uga. He seems like a dumbass though.

Yeah, I really hope the staff has done their due diligence on this one. Identify his goals for after college, what degree program(s) is he interested in, pull out the stops and introduce him to the best (and most friendly) faculty in the department and get some recent fricking grads with good jobs who can speak to the success that comes with a UGA degree. I don't feel like it's a tough thing to do, but I'm never sure how much of this is happening.

Enjoyed this quick interview with Mecole Hardman... I hope he can get through to Drob the way he did with Simmons.

We got us a gem in that kid. Being an EC boy myself, I couldn't be happier. He is really unbelievable.

Baxter did you know ahead of time that he was all in at UGA?

Yeah. But I was sworn to secrecy. I mean I said it awhile back. Then the coaching change happened and I wasn't so sure. But I have known for a few weeks.
It's still always up in the air though, when little tiny EC has 40 million dollar Lear jets flying in and out nonstop for two weeks with the likes of Saban aboard.

'16 OT Tyler Catalina will visit this weekend. There's still a good chance we could add Catalina and DRob. That'd be pretty good to cap off a solid class.

Pretty much what this guy is saying & he's as close to the situation as you can get...

Who is that guy? He seems to contradict what D-Rob said in his interview that he wanted his mom to come see the school. If she isn't a part of it, has never been a part of it and doesn't want to be a part of it, why would he make that comment?
