long way to go on Smith. Rusty is still picking UGA too.

Yeah, I’m not worried the least bit on Smith. I just find it interesting the last few picks have gone the other way. I’m not a big believer in the crystal ball, it’s there to drive website hits. It’s going to be a battle for Smith regardless

Pretty solid poster on 247 says Preston Williams may come down to whether or not his fiance qualifies for HOPE

I don't remember the HOPE intro requirements but maintaining it was easy I though. it's like above a 3.0 or 3.2 now, I think it's still 3.0, but the only people who don't maintain it in my experience are just lazy.

With papa DGD paying for 2 kids to go to AU he was straight up out of his mind excited when I transfered to UGA and got HOPE

I mean I maintained it throughout college, no thanks to fricking Econ and Chemistry. But that was easily harder than actually getting it. Show up to class in HS and just try and you'll make a 3.0 in most Georgia High Schools.

Disgusting, isn't it. Their first year? 2010.

My family turned into turncoat tigers and I have yet to forgive any of them.

Dear God. Are they brothers or sisters?

Why did they do it? Where does your folks' allegiances lie?

so many questions...

Some things are unforgivable. My own father recently abandoned the Redskins for dubious reasons. He will never live that down. I already told him that he's picked his side, so no celebrating if things ever turn around.

Not exactly like your situation, but my closest personal comparison.

Sisters

Well, my sisters weren't going to get into UGA and they likely wouldn't enjoy it as much. Not as big of partiers and wanted a smaller school. They applied to OM, GSU, AU, UA and UK (ok, not that small of a school, clearly) and of all they visited they liked AU the best. I drove them to UK for their visit and wanted them to go there. UK has a cool campus and I wanted to go watch UK bball.

Anyway both my parents went to Georgia State (both got into UGA but couldn't afford it). My dad used to go get hammered in Athens on the weekeneds and these were during the Herschel years so he grew up more of a Georgia fan but in general he's more of an NFL fan. He loves his falcons and he loves the Braves like me. Then growing up I became a huge Georgia fan because of my grandpa (the only person in my family who went to UGA) and because of that my mom and dad became defacto Dawgs knowing that my mood depended heavily on Georgia's success even early in life.

That all said my mom is a woman and thus doesn't know sports and my dad's allegiances can change by where he lives and by where his checks go. My one year at PSU he rooted for and watched all their games (he actually came up for a game too) and even yelled at me when I was home watching the bowl game because I was rooting against PSU. His exact quote was "I pay $40,000+ for you to go there so you damn well better root for the nittany lions!" Then I came back home and UGA went to shite and my sisters went to Auburn and my dad started going to Auburn games and watching them closely. My mom became a typical annoying arse woman fan and just screamed war eagle.

After that year my parents said they would root for whichever team needed it most but I told them to stick with orange and blue because we had no time for their half assed fanhood. Since then they realized my sisters don't give two shits about football and root for Georgia most of the time. This year was fun though during the title because I was so gun-ho FSU and basically shite talked both of them into submission

Damn, sorry for the novel

UGA gained favor with Williams after a recent visit with the Bulldogs. “Georgia looked old, kinda country, and boring, but actually it was great. Coach Ball is good people.” - See more at: LINK

The piece on AJC said Williams' gf got accepted at UT and hasn't applied at UGA. That's coming from Williams mouth. You can follow the dots here they don't lead this way.

It's march of their junior year. Who has applied yet? Early admission applications aren't even due until October or so
