I agree that it would hurt, but I disagree about the embarrassing part. UCLA is a great school and offers some things we don't.
I don’t think anyone is insinuating that UCLA is a bad school. It would be embarrassing because he lives in a pro-UGA area. We’re talking about a small town kid that has by all accounts been a heavy UGA lean. To not close the deal on Roquan would be utterly embarrassing. No other way to spin it.

Terry Godwin just crystal balled to the barn on 247?

Some kids just have a desire to see a different part of the country. Can't fault them for that.

We have he next Pro QB on board for next year and a WR is even contemplating going elsewhere. Kid must be a tard if true. Hope he like blocking!

I was talking about Smith, a linebacker.

This is so true. Neither of my parents went to college at a big time football school, so if I had been a recruit I wouldn't have felt any special loyalty to the programs in my home state. Moving to a different part of the country has been a great experience for me and I can't fault the kid if it turns out that he wants to do the same. Maybe the visit out there opened his eyes to a school and the west-coast lifestyle that really made him feel at home. Obviously losing him would hurt a lot, but I wouldn't go so far as to say its an embarrassment because its not like he was lost to one of our hated rivals. If this late game audible was to an Auburn or Alabama, that would be a different story.

So UGA is losing Godwin? That's fricking unsettling

No, the guy that did it is the CEO of 247 and has a 65% success rate. He's dricving hits

If Barton Simmons and Rusty CB him to Auburn, then I'll panic.

As far as the CBs on Godwin..they have to choose another school right? They can't CB a guy to a school he's already committed to...they are just guessing where he could flip, which I don't believe he will. Gussy can go ahead and return his matching sweater vest he promised him.

I thought Barton was pretty well connected?
Posted on 2/2/15 at 2:39 pm to gatorhata9
He built good relationships with Rico and Donte Jackson, but that's about where it ends.

I think they are basing those CB's on the information and how Godwins mom has been talking. I think they are looking at distance being a major factor for him. That being said, he has been committed to UGA for over a year. I can't see him changing his mind at the last second. He loves the Dawgs.

This is all this is with Godwin and Smith. I'm confident both will be Dawgs.
