Damn everyone just jumped off te ledge. I don't see how we lose to LSU. Like crispy said, their entire team just declared. We can beat Clemson, our offense is better, and we have some studs coming in. SC is really the only game I'm worried about.

The truth of the matter is that Richt is a good guy in bad world. He subscribes to the theory that ppl are inherently good when in fact ppl are inherently selfish. Ive always liked Richt but he will never win at the level that the Bamas and such do bc he cant get off of his laurels. Im torn between wanting to win and doing the right thing. With that said I think this class is solid but if we cant close on the top tier talent in our state then georgia will remian a second tier team. Kids want to play for winners and its really that simple. And will ppl stop talking about how we were 5 yards away. The last time I checked almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

We've got a good shot at 3-1 IF...we don't have an entire unit (DB's last year) suspended to start the season again....

Good luck, I don't see anyone taking this gig. It would be more like a suicide thread, I'm for sticking with the main recruiting forum

Guess we could go 1-3, but usually we we play well when we start off like this. Will say one thing though, get to 4-0 through hook&crook and things could get very interesting for our Dawgs.

Don't be surprised if our D is outstanding next year.

I don't really follow recruiting until NSD when I actually know who we have. Is our class a disaster or have we just missed out on the last minute big targets?

The latter...assuming everyone who committed signs tomorrow.

We have a solid class that addresses a lot of needs...it lacks a "x" factor like Tunsil and looking like we'll miss on Adams, but there are several guys who could end up being big time players. Matthews, Rumph, Langley, Kublanow, Wilkerson, Mayes, Atkins are all guys that should contribute right away. If we add Adeosun (questionable, right now) and Bellamy then we'll likely remain a top 10 class, but just several days ago signs were pointing to a top 3 class...so things have definitely changed for the worse.

I'm dead fricking serious. We are staring 1-3 in the face. At Clemson, Jadaveoun will kill Murray, and a stout LSU team. I'm already braced for it.

Aren't you the guy who tweeted after the Kentucky game that we should give up on this team?

We had our chance this past season and couldn't get it done in the SECCG. It might another 10 years before we have another opportunity. We aren't like Bama under Saban, reloading every season. With our program like most, it will require a perfect storm of recruiting and luck to overcome our inherit limitations. Until our administration by some miracle decides that the investment in our sports is worth outlaying big bucks, we likely will be faced with ongoing mediocrity. We win just enough to keep the money flowing in and that's literally the bottom line.

Pump the brakes man. I'm feeling doomy and gloomy, too, but damn, TEN years? I don't think we're in that much trouble. As long as Saban is at Bama it's going to be a tough road, but I think we'll stay on our same frequency level. Every 3-4 years we'll have a shot for the SEC/MNC game.

There are so many legal gray area's & legal limits we can push that we never attempt to use. Saban doesn't cheat IMO as much as he uses every advantage & loop hole available under the NCAA bylaws... KUDO'S to him...

Of course Saban doesn't cheat. Richt shouldn't either. Any responsibly cheating program contains the dirtiness in a very small, quiet group of boosters that maintain limited actual interaction with the football program. This insulates the program from the shite and allows for a potential "rogue booster" defense later, should the NCAA come calling. The boosters would simply need to know names of targeted prospects.

You would also pay/give cars to as few players as possible, hopefully with them knowing as little as possible about where the stuff was coming from.

No coach should ever be the middleman in improper benefit operations. That's what programs like SMU do to get the death penalty.

Also, we need to start oversigning yesterday. Playing with 70 scholarship players is huge disadvantage that is easily fixed. Sign full classes every single year.

After you factor out injuries on top of that, we ended up playing Bama with something like 67 true scholarship players. It's the little things, like warm bodies that make a difference...
