Any truth to the story of Tunsil wearing his UGA hat while Saban had his in-home visit? I'd heard Saban told him "we'll need a commitment from you soon," as he left and that it totally turned LT off.

Also heard he was playing some video games while Saban and co. talked to his mother. No idea if that's true or not but still funny.

Doubtful...that would be beyond bad manners. Saban, while I hate him, is one of the best Football coaches to ever coach. I'd be a lot more respectful. I...wouldn't want him pissed at me.

Why would this kid care if Saban is pissed at him if he isn't planning on going to Alabama.

Because Saban is one of the more renowned college coaches and blatantly disrespecting him would be a poor choice due to all of Saban's connections throughout coaching world.

This ain't the GodFather, Kids who dont want to go to bama could care less who Saban is. Neither do the teams who draft them.

Texas A&M and UGA exposed bammer for the peice of shite program that they will become. Their talent level is not as good as either team. Mark my words, the Alabama program (after this year) will be regress big time. A&M, UGA, and UF all have just as much or more talent than bammer. These teams are also recruiting at a high level. Bammer will always be "#1" to ESPN, Rivals, etc.... because they are "Alabama". UGA has just as much talent and will prove that in the upcoming years.

Yes because I am sure that Bellicheck or any other coach worth a shite wouldn't seek out the opinions of their former staff members who happen to be collegiate coaches; Ignorant does not even do the term justice.

Do you think Bellichic (sp) gives a shite what Saban thinks if this kid is sitting there as a number 1 pick and that is their number one need as far as players. Wait, let me answer that for you HELL NO. (ALL CAPS BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN HEAR ME)

Yeah you're right, it would be insane for NFL teams/Hc's to seek the opinions that other collegiate coaches have of players that they have coached against during their time at the collegiate level. It's not like drafting a player is a multimillion dollar decision or anything.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll call and ask Saban's opinion about him instead of his actual coaches. Man, I'd hate for him to go undrafted all because he was rude to the almighty Saban

Clowney called Saban a midget in an interview do you suppose that will effect his draft status. Todd Mcshay has him rated as the number 1 pick if he chose to come out. So I guess being rude to a prick like Saban really doesn't matter.

Tunsil said that Bama coaches pretty much ignored him and just talked to his Mom the whole time.

They must have been reading the recruiting boards that said momma will have a major impact on his decision.

Dude's I'm not saying that this kid is going to get screwed over completely by being disrespectful to Saban. The point that I was trying to make was that it is not smart for any player to blatantly disrespect a coach because you never know where the bridges you have burned would have led you.

This was not an attempt to put Midget Nick on a pedestal or anything of that nature (I am not Michael Carvell). I simply just used him as an example of a coach who has NFL connections and also because the story involved him.

And all I am saying is take Dez Bryant, Michael Crabtree and a lot of other players with baggage and egos and it doesn't matter how you act as long as you've got talent. All of these teams have scouting departments and they rely on them a lot more than they would something a college coach has to say. Not all kids are going to like certain coaches and their attitude and you can toss Mark Richt into that lot. Not all kids will like the way Richt recruits them and not all kids will like the way that Saban recruits them. The bottom line is the NFL doesn't give a shite if this kid ignored Saban or not. And how petty is Nick Saban going to look if he tells someone this kid just played video games the whole time I was there.

If you are going to be an arse when the coach shows up, why bother with the program? Why not tell the midget, "I'm not interested."

I don't think anything the kid did to the midget will have any impact on his pro future. I don't think pro scouts care about the midget's hurt feelings, per se, but I do think a "bad attitude" rep would impact his draft status.

UGA has as good or better skill players as Alabama. The talent gap is in the trenches and there's a significant coaching gap related to discipline and roster management both of which impact quality depth which is lacking on our teams.

Did it effect John Elways draft status when he said he wouldn't play for the team who had the first draft pick and forced a draft trade. How about Eli Manning did it effect his draft status. Come on dude if Clowney were able to come out this year do you think the fact that he called Saban a midget would prevent him from being the number 1 pick. If this kid refused to practice day in and day out yeah then his bad attitude might make a difference but him ignoring him while they are at an in home visit is not going to change his draft status one pick. This kid still has more than likely 4 years of college football to play and you think that that is going to be a factor in his draft status.

It's laughable to think anyone would believe something like this would have any influence on how he is viewed yrs down the road. Once he starts smashing opponents on the field it will be forgotten.......if true in the first place.
