According to Dawgs247, Tray Matthews is solid to UGA and is all set to enroll in the spring. I do not have a sub to the site, but I have read elsewhere that in the article, he states he is working hard on getting Montravius Adams to join him in Athens. Just wanted to pass along what I have seen.

That Kelsey Griffin situation is just baffling! All I can say is there BETTER be a good reason for it!

It's Richt...I'd say we miss on Adams and Johnson on top of missing on Woods and Griffin. The good thing about Matthews is that Auburn is the only school in the SEC with a shittier coaching situation than us.

was their ever a reason discussed for why we ever did that?

Honestly, I'm a little perplexed on why UGA passed on Griffen. He tried to commit, called the coach and was told to, "hold up." He had an offer and they were recruiting him the whole time.
I have no inside knowledge, but I'm speculating that y'all were/are still going after Adams hard and thought the Griffen commitment might dissuade Adams. I know Kelsey was probably pretty pissed since he came out with all the," grew up a UGA fan, that's where I want to be," stuff.
Kelsey brought his parents with him to the game last week, and then they probably told him like it is. One program is begging for you, and winning, the other told you to "hold up" and is losing.

Because we're a lost, rudderless program and our ship's captain either doesn't know or doesn't care what he's doing.
I honestly don't care if everyone decommits, Richt is embarrassing to have as a head coach and needs to be shown the door.

thought it was a grade issue?

I was told Griffen did not have a written offer which means Griffen could not just commit at any time. Coaches thought they were clear with this. Appearently the coaches feel good with Montravious

That is what is being said and it makes sense. Even if we were worried about it Griffin scaring off Adams, you know the old saying, "One in the hand is worth two in the bush". Unless we felt like he wouldn't qualify there was no reason to turn him away.
