I was wondering who do people in Austin tend to root for in pro sports?

My geography sucks but I think San Antonio is closer to Austin than Dallas/Houston only has the spurs.

Are there any patterns or tendencies for who people from/in Austin root for or is it just random?

Most of Austin are Astros, Cowboys, and Spurs fans

San Antonio is ~80 miles away so it makes the Spurs the physically closest team. If you look at the MLB fan map of Texas most of the south part of the state are Astros fans including both San Antonio and Austin.

The Cocaine Cowboys used to have training camp at St Edwards and back when they would I would avoid Woodward like the plague it was an absolute dumpster fire not to mention with the Oilers transplanting out to Tennessee and the Houston Texans mostly being a gimmick franchise both Austin and San Antonio are full of Cowboys fans.
