Years ago I began having kids. When my oldest was born I remember wearing an A&M shirt. I dreamed that one day she would go to A&M. I have three kids now and told them regardless of where they go to school, I'll be proud of them.

Last week my dream came true. My oldest got her letter. She's Fighting Texas Aggie class of 25' I couldn't be a happier parent. If you're an Aggie and you know her, you want her apart of the Aggie family. She's competitive, driven, smart, beautiful, mature beyond her years, and likes agriculture. She's a rule follower and never misses church.

Huge congrats! My eldest is still waiting on College Station but was accepted at Galveston already. He's very interested in Maritime Transportation. 3rd Generation!

I think A&M-Galveston A&M is a great choice and would be lots of fun. Don't they have a shuttle or some sort of transportation for students to go to classes in College Station? Someone told me not long ago that they took courses at both campuses.

Experiencing both campuses, and cities would be a lot of fun

They are an adjunct so they get Aggie Rings and football tickets. They also can change colleges and move to College Station without applying to the University as they are seen as students already. Don't know about individual classes, that would seem difficult as a regular commute multiple times a week even with a bus due to distance.

Congrats! Well done raising her right!

What does she like about Ag and is she getting her degree in something related to it?

Looks like Ag Economics with a minor in AgLAD.

She was or has been on the milk quality team at her HS every year and went to state her Freshman year. She almost always finishes top 3 or top 5. Held a position in FFA

I grew up around agriculture and when she visits my parents (same ranch I grew up on) she just loves the outdoors. She's not a girly-girl. Loves to fish, baits her and ties her own hook.

A thousand apologies to you and Blackgloves. I loved his post and all the replies. My intent was to upvote your reply, but my fat thumb accidentally hit downvote. I just wanted to fess up so you wouldn't wonder "who would downvote that."

Congratulations! Happy for her and for you. Sounds like you raised a good kid and it will be good to have her as part of the Aggie family. As someone else said, we need more like her. Glad she got accepted, but the best part of your message was
