d. I still don't own a pair of shorts that aren't cargo or gym shorts. Probably never will. I hate those plaid frat shorts.

I have gym shorts but if I am going to some outside event (a game, a concert, etc.) I am wearing cargos. Nothing else allows me to carry ALL The stuff my wife wants me to carry last minute PLUS a flask.

As a New Orleans native I also appreciate how they prevent pick pocketing.

Cargos for lyfe!!

Having a centered core of rightness and toughness. Knowing that you can laughingly endure the punks who surround you.

Basketball, like most things in Texas, has an incredibly high ceiling.

In KY the floor is so high though, and every night there is a pickup game in at least one of the churches in town, in every town.

True Story

What part of KY are you in right now?

Murray State.

I'm an Ag by birth, but was raised in WKY. Followed the girl I thought I'd marry to MSU. Big(-gest) mistake.

I'm the super rare t shirt aggie, my grandpa was a soil science professor, my father and uncles went there and I was born in B/CS.

Have an up vote for the Racers.

WKY is good people so you have that going for you too.

Women are crazy so don't sweat it if it did not work. I suggest Kige Ramsey's You Tube on dating and Mike Leach's dating advice as top drawer stuff. Keep your head up and there are some of the best women in the state in WKY if you can find them. As a WKY guy are you Moonlight or Old Hickory?

Has he ever posted here?

Have you ever met him in real life without the costume?

I think he looks like a certain stars dopplleganger. He laughs at my observation but never denies it.

Haha it's been several years. Learned a lot, and made sure my current girlfriend was nothing like her before it got serious.

I love bourbon, but the only shine I've ever really been into was some homemade apple cinnamon a friends uncle makes, and that's like a 2-3x a year.
One of my good MSU buddies Kyle just passed in a distillery explosion at Silver Trails in Hardin,KY. He fought it for a little over a week, thought he was gonna make it. :/

Just realized you were talking barbecue lol. I've never been to either, never really go through Owensboro.

Not real sharp right now, earlier tonight at work I had to give turn by turn directions to a crying lady truck driver in Houston with a broken GPS, for an hour.

I'm off topic AF right now.

Bummer

One of my favorite shine guys makes Blackberry and Blueberry shine. ever go to the Black Gold over in EKY?

Apple cinnamon sounds pretty good. Does he just make it in the fall?

I'm not sure when he makes it honestly, Ive typically gotten a jar during lake season, and one around the start of bonfire/camping weather.

And no, but that sounds awesome.

How is that possible?

You can go to where Johnny Depp was born but it is a shopping joint now.

Every time I watch "Grosse Piont Blank" and see the convience scene I think of Depp and laugh my arse off. His mom has a farm in Lex now between The Castle and BG Field.

I am a rolling stone so my life has been spent moving around but I have lots of family in CKY and friends and in laws in DaVille. My favorite cities in the state tho are probably Bardstown and Danville.

I knew the depp connection, but that's a pretty awesome/random transition.
Which one is your favorite? I've only known about them for about a year, and I just don't get out that way much.

hang out around the 3 P's and you may get the hook up. The blackberry is probably better but the Blueberry is probably more addictive.

If you are in CKY in the fall hid some of the fresh cider joints in Woodford Co. Late summer and early fall mix about 1/2 gallon of fresh cider with a 750 of Old Bardstown or Early Times. Thank me after you wake up.

It is a political football. First off my ancient relatives raised sheep in KY back when the best meat in the world came from KY. Therefore, I love lamb, especially spring lamb so mutton BBQ is fine by me.

A former business partner was a Moonlight man and one of my oldest living friends is an Old Hickory woman. They grew up with each other so I have to split time between the two places just to keep the peace. After all this time I like both. :)

I really like Red State BBQ over in G town and a new place opened up near the JIF plant in LEX that is pretty good.

KY is a fun state to just get in the car and drive around. I feel the same way about TN from Nashville to the east. Damn speed trap between Nashville and Memphis sucks so I steer clear of that part of the state.

Be careful, early season stuff can be stuff from last year they froze over the winter. Mid to late summer cider slushies are pretty damn tasty.
