Looks like half their staff is gone. Saban cleaning house or are folks jumping ship?

I've been saying it on the coaching changes board and I'll say it here. Constantly losing assistants will eventually catch up to Saban and Bama. It doesn't matter how good the HC is. Once you get caught in a never ending cycle of brain drain you are going to pay for it. There is no way they can keep hiring replacements that always work out. At some point he will hire 2 or 3 coaches who flat out won't fit his program and they will end up with a season with single digit wins. Most fan bases wouldn't freak out over a single down year but Bama fans have become so incredibly entitled they will not handle it well. shite, they've had like 8 different OCs under him at this point. They are due for a hire that clashes so badly with him they won't be able win off pure talent.

The power vacuum is coming.

We'd better be ready to fill it.

This is a very true statement. It is one of the reasons Slocum had such a hard time in his last years with us. Combine that with Mack and Stoops and falling behind in facilities and you get what we got.

Agree with thistake. Not rats jumping off a ship, Bama isn’t going anywhere yet. We heard a lot of the same things when Clemson beat them two years ago and he came roaring back with a vengeance and won the next one and made it to the final this year.

A lot of people talk about how bad a loss it was. Yes, Saban coaches teams rarely look outclassed but even he’s not immune to a bad game or two. Look at his bowl game vs OU in 2013 when they lost the kick six game and missed on a chance for the three-peat. They lost by 14 points in that game. Sure this was the natty vs a consolation bowl, but he still has had a few bad games whatever the circumstances behind it.

He’s still the best coach in all of CFB history and my guess is he wants to get at least another natty to pass Bear’s number at Alabama that he’s tied with. So he’s not going anywhere soon. We have to hope to catch them one on of his “bad” seasons where his staff isn’t as good as it has been and make our move through the SEC ranks. Jimbo needs to be poised to strike.

Honestly I was kinda hoping he'd break Bear's title record and ride off into the sunset. Clemson gets to go back to the ACC, while we get to deal with pissed off Bama

I’m not going to get excited until Jeff Banks leaves. It’s scorched earth if that happens
