I think you guys are thinming about this the wrong way.

He commits to Baylor, Briles says "you don't need this class to get into to Baylor a semester early, so why bother?"

Hall drops the class, then decides he wants to flip to A&M but is informed he'd have to wait until the fall and take the course he dropped this spring in HS.

Not hard to believe at all IMO, and it doesn't make Briles the worst person ever. Just clever.

He's still a piece of shite regardless of what happened in this situation.

Not saying that can't happen. But we gave Hall financial paperwork to sign as an EE in November. If true, we should have known about this then because he would have to provide HS transcripts to our admissions dept. Instead we first hear of it a month after he enrolls and only from someone with an agenda that such a statement furthers.

Just because we give him the paper in nov doesn't mean he's filled it out or sent in a transcript. He had all the way to mid Jan to do that. Sounds like he did around that time too. He seemed very high on A&M in until he went quiet.

This is incorrect. Schools are required by the NCAA to have proof that a prospect is on track to graduate mid-term before providing financial aid documentation. Therefore we had to have his transcripts before giving him the paperwork.
