It is a weird time. agrunner just said he didn't know I was an Aggie and got pissed about the fan affiliation I have had since day one.

How dare you rep anything but your preferred college sports team boxer.

Yeah it's not like I don't post enough on the Rant for him to figure it out.

Definitely not going to change it now that the Saints suck, I am not a fair weather fan I don't want to look like one.

I agree with the LSU posters. Florida is a bunch of cowards who are dodging them because they're scared and see this as an opportunity to avoid a loss.

Personally I admire the UF AD for putting his program in the best position to win the East however he can.

"Life isn't fair" applies to SEC football as much as it does anything.

Better to die rich and guilty than poor and innocent.

Have LSU fans always been this obnoxious?

I mean, I think I might root for UF if they play later in the season (ok, I won't for UGA's pretty much in-existent East chances; but I'll root for y'all).

I'd be ashamed if our AD did that. I want to win straight-up. Just by dominating. No asterisks.

No offense, but that kind of engineer attitude is why we have such a lopsided record vs Texas and why our 2007 Texags strategy of "Just win and everything solves itself" never worked out. You just can't just wake up one day and say "I am going to dominate." Life doesn't work like that.

To "dominate" you need players. To get players like the top teams do you need to dominate. It's a brutal Catch 22.

To undo the cycle teams like ours need to take every non football advantage we can get to try to build ourselves up. That is why I am 100% frick OU to the SEC, or frick Herman to Texas. Just because fans want to ignore the Game of Thrones element to college football doesn't mean it doesn't matter.

The best thing that ever happened to A&M is when we got leadership like Jason Cook who understand that and found ways for us to win off the field so eventually we can win on the field. I am 100% one of those Aggies.

One day maybe we can act like a program that was born with the silver spoon, but honestly we are decades away even at the rocket pace JFF put us on.

I'm not an engineer.

That's a man's attitude.

I assume from your post that you are a millennial?

Making the most out of an advantage is not weak, it's smart, and very Alpha.

Fairy godmothers don't exist in real life, and so there is no reward on this Earth that is given to those who take the hard path for the sake of taking it because they consider it to be the right thing to do. I have seen too many of my family members work themselves into an early grave making someone else rich expecting all that hard work to pay off and it never does. I refuse to be a pawn in someone else's game, because if you don't pull a Foley when you can someone else will pull it on you and come out unscathed (Wells Fargo is a great recent example).

You gotta get yours when you can, and you gotta face reality when it is staring at you. That doesn't mean you have to be an a-hole or hurt people for the sake of doing it, but it does mean you can't do the same thing for over a hundred years and expect a different result just because you feel you are doing it the right way and the world should reward you for it with a success you never actually earned by making the most of your opportunities.

Nope, if you must know I will vote Libertarian just like I have since 2004. I like a party that admits the world isn't fair and the government is less fair than that.

To me the more Democratic mindset is the one where just because I worked hard and did things the right way I am entitled to more in life and the government or someone should be enforcing that entitlement. I was taught at a young age the world doesn't owe me anything, which means the inverse is also true.

Such a lazy arse generalization. Ironically self serving to boot. "Millennials are so self absorbed" yet making the kind of statement that millennials are weak/lazy is actually saying "my generation is so much harder working." Everyone sees through your self serving BS.
