Every team who does not have Nick Saban wants to fire their coach today.

Since we've been in the SEC Sumlin has the second best W-L percentage. We're 8 points away from being 9-1 and a top 4 team in the country. If if and butts were candy and nuts - I know. But, there's only one Saban. Let's build depth. Let's get better. We have good players and still recruiting well. Let's keep the ship steady.

Ok - I know the points argument is not a great point. The real point is Sumlin could be the 2nd best SEC coach. We should throw our support behind him and build depth. Most fans don't know how to build a great program. It's not from kneejerk decisions.

Or we could buy recruits like t.u. for the next coach.

He could also be the 12th best coach in the SEC. And 7th best coach in the West.

It's also not done by continually supporting a guy who appears incapable of building a great program.

And 5 years in not a kneejerk decision.

When you have everything to play for on a talented team it's not "knee-jerk" to react unfavorably to losing in embarrassing fashion in consecutive weeks to sub .500 teams.

If we were in the East, we would likely be SEC East champions the past 5 years. We have the misfortune of being in Alabama's division.

We can build from having the 2nd best W-L towards the Saban machine. Everyone feels the effect of the Saban factor. You can stay the course and move forward. Or, you can start over with the coach of the day. Either way, Saban is still Saban.

TexAgChill, you sound like someone who wants to settle. Nobody expects Sumlin to be Saban but we expect to win the games we're supposed to win, especially against crappy MS teams. I heard someone say at the game yesterday he would be happy with a 28-26 win. NO NO NO, that's not the kind of win that impresses anyone. If we want to compete nationally we have to win convincingly against teams like that. That's what we expect from a $5 million/year coach.

I've been washing Sumlin's car this whole time. He ain't the 2nd best SEC coach.

It's year 5. By this point he's had time to build depth.

I don't consider it a knee jerk reaction now that they've lost two games to two sub .500 teams in the back half of the season in year 5.

Since 2012 he is 6-8 in November w/3 of the wins coming against ULM, Western Carolina, and UTEP. The other 3 were vs 7-6 Miss St, 8-5 Auburn, and 4-8 Vandy squads.

Definitely don't want to settle. Saying there's different paths to the mountain top. My suggestion is to keep moving forward on the path. There is no other SEC team I would want to switch places with to get to the top. We are in the driver's seat to undo the Saban machine. I think I'm in a position to say this, because I helped put this program on the map.

You keep talking about Saban but the problem isn't losing games to Saban and Bama.

If Bama was the only bugaboo people wouldn't be irate.

The real point is that Sumlin is a fraud who has never and will never win a title of any kind.

And we're stuck in neutral. Which is a death sentence in this division.

Every season post Johnny has had a collapse in the second half of the season. Good coaches would have figured that out and not had it happen THREE TIMES IN A ROW. Therefore he is not a good coach.
