Better thanks to Gilder's return. He makes such a difference on both ends.

Lots of the same issues though, which Bilas is driving home: A&M not moving the ball, A&M settling for too many outside shots, A&M needs to get Davis more touches, A&M takes a contested three, A&M can get that shot anytime, Hogg takes a 25 footer because there was no movement, A&M can't make a layup, that's not a good shot, A&M has no movement on offense. I lost track of how many times he criticized our movement.

Starks looking better too, aside from that terrible three he took in the first

It is what it is. Tim Duncan in his prime doesn’t get that call

Improvements over the last three games sure. There was nowhere to go but up. This was also an enormous game because of the hole we’ve dug for ourselves

It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. We're a very talented team when healthy, and it's sometimes enough to make up for our coaching deficiencies. Tonight it wasn't.

Now sure, it was closer than it would have been without Gilder but a good coach easily wins that game. Ourhakfcourt offense is not conducive to building leads because it doesn't consistently generate good possessions. When we beat teams comfortably it's because we were hot from three or forced a bunch of TOs. We can't grind teams down with defense and halfcourt sets.

I agree starting 0-4 is awful and that even getting to 9-9 is going to be an adventure. But going into Rupp was always going to be iffy at best.

However, our OOC work is going to keep our tourney chances a float and even 8-10 should get us in considering the SEC is well respected by the computers

There definitely were positives which was nice for a change, but still too much of the same: poor movement, bad threes, bad free throws, missed layups, unforced and ill-timed errors, low IQ basketball plays. I'm still seething at how the first half ended.

My message had a boo-boo. I actually thought it was a great great pass.

I think it was a tough situation that didn't have a right way to play it. I'd be really pissed if that was what we got off an inbound, but grabbing the rebound and getting caldwell the ball costs a few fractions of a second that make it that much harder
