Nice to see us not completely play down to a cupcake opponent’s level for once.

yup. WN has us dropping to 11. It doesn't really matter but it sure shows how powerful scheduling is in the formula

Cannot get a non flame answer on the rant.
In the final seconds of the LSU game, LSU blocks a 3 point shot. The player appears to touch nothing but ball on the block but there is lots of body contact, enough to knock the Houston player to the floor. Does the body contact to the shooter not matter or was it a blown call?
Once the blocker had his hand on the ball did it become a shared possession for an instant so the physical contact between the 2 bodies didn’t matter?

quote:it does matter. but the shooter may have stuck his leg out to initiate the contact which almost never gets called unless youre james harden. also, refs usually dont want to decide the game on a foul so if it was in the final seconds, it usually has to be beyond blatant for it to be called

i didnt see the play so i cant really comment on it specifically

Unless the ref is Tim Higgins.

looked clean to me. the shooter's feet got taken out from under him cause he couldnt even release the ball before getting stuffed.

Blockers right hip and knee collide with shooter but it is after he has his hand on the ball and the block is done.
An Auburn poster posted on the rant that the rule is the same as running into the kicker in football, no foul for contact if you get the clean block

thats clean. contact with the shooter doesnt happen until after the block is completed

That’s what I was curious about, if the contact didn’t matter because the block was clean and already initiated

you may get a foul on the floor if you have an awful ref but nothing else

That angle shows it all, definitely his leg kicking out causing the contact, I couldn’t see that in the game view

When are we finally going to call Buzz Williams home?

Buzz Williams, Virginia Tech The Hokies went to the NCAA tourney last season and should be even better in 2017-18 despite losing Zach LeDay and Seth Allen. Williams' buyout decreases, and while he won't leave for just anything, he could be in play for certain jobs, especially anything in the Lone Star State.

The only Buzz I hear is CBI excitement

Lol what, what? You're telling me you wouldn't want Buzz Williams? The guy who has two big East championships, took Marquette to the elite eight, and has rebuilt the va tech program?

Buzz is a great coach. Problem is, we already have a great coach. Position’s already filled.
