Yeah I certainly wouldn’t call it a trap game

Tackling sucked but at what point does somebody tell the DE to play down the line and stop overpenetrating the play? The OT just kept pumping quarters into the pony out front of Walmart for another ride past the play. And not just any play but the same exact play! Were the guys in the booth just watching Friends reruns and didn't notice?

What a shitty game the was. I watched the first half on my phone at a 8 year old birthday party in the rain and ended up asleep before they ran it up. So I can’t really dive deep without a rewatch. Zero chance I’ll be doing that tho. Just wanted to post that sucked. A lot.

But there is light. Win out and we still have a shot at the postseason. 1 Gimmie, 1 winnable road trip, and 1 rivalry game at Kyle.

This. I could not believe that it was the 4th quarter and we still had blitzes coming up the middle and DEs far up the field.

The crappy run d, poor tackling, etc have all been touched on so no need to re-hash. One thing that stuck out to me was how poorly White punted the ball, did anyone else notice? Several punts should have pinned SC deep in their own end with decent punt and he was doing good to get away a 40 yard punt. Against ND he averaged 55 yards, against SC it was 40, having them start inside their 10 or 15 is a lot different than starting on the 25 or 30. Just an observation I had, that second half brought back Jimbo memories, so undisciplined. Hoping Elko runs the crap out of few guys this week. 9-3 with a shot at 10-2 is still better than I figured so let's get rolling again this week.

Also to add, the officiating was crap once again, it is laughable at this point.

It was an ugly game and just embarrassing how we didn’t show up to play, I want to get that out of the way first. The loss really only changes one thing for us, our room for error is gone. Everything is still absolutely right in front of you for year 1. You just can’t slip up now. The Texas game is a must win if you wanna potentially make the playoffs in year one. But really all the loss did was put us in the same situation as about 4-5 other SEC teams at the top of the heap. Must win out. Pretty simple now
