I don't want to give either kid a reason to transfer. Next coach needs both options going into fall camp next year. Sit starkel the whole season if he's 99% or less.

I'm ready for Hubenak. He would have hit those long passes over the middle. Let Starkel get a medical redshirt.

Starkel can't Medical RS. He is healthy enough to play. There is a reason he won the starting job out of camp.....he is better. We should play him.

Change should have been made to start second half or 2nd series of second half.

Mond was 8 of 26 with 2 picks last I checked. Had no business at QB in second half. He was horrible but he had plenty of company.

First pick you could put on Mond b/c the ball was high though to be fair it was tipped up by a receiver.

Second pick was completely on Ratley for letting nice pass that would have been a huge gain squirt right through his hands.

Either way, I liked what I saw from Starkel. Yes, he had a pick 6 but he was just so much more decisive and quick with the ball. He also looked like he has a much better handle on where all the WRs are supposed to be.

He also put it in the hands of msu 3 times, and they connected on one finally. Played in garbage time, msu didn't game plan for him, and really still did pretty average.

Both of monds were tipped by WRs. He missed some deep shots, and the wr didn't catch shite.

All in all the team looked flat, unprepared, and like they took their "week off" a little too seriously for the 5th time in 5 years.

Decided to rewatch some of the game this morning. Mond missed guys over the middle, on the sidelines, deep, etc. Just not a good passer and doesn’t have a good pocket presence. He consistently has the look of someone that is in over his head. 8 of 26 for 60 yards or whatever he ended up with speaks for itself whether or not balls were tipped.

Starkel can run the offense much better. Several of his incompletions were because either he threw it in when receiver was supposed to go out or vice versa. Not sure whose fault but probably his. Our WR coaching sucks so who knows. Not sure what happened on the Int and return for TD. All I know was there was pressure from all directions. No way to tell if backside rusher got his hand on Starkel at time of release. If not, ball was badly thrown 4 feet behind receiver.

Pure speculation at this point because it does not matter. Mond will not be starting next week. Starkel is clearly better at QB and will be starting next week. Anyone that defends Mond or thinks he should start over Starkel is in denial. Not saying you think that. More of a general comment.

Mond is still learning how to work through progressions. I think MSU had him thoroughly confused during the 1st half and he was holding the ball too long trying to limit potential turnovers. He also had some very bad luck with WR drops when he did deliver the ball well.

He has improved quite a bit on throwing the ball away to avoid sacks. I just think he is still trying to process the speed and talent differentials between high school and college. I think he can turn out very well given another offseason.

He typically plays much better in the 2nd half of games because he has a much better understanding of what it going on and plays more confidently. The problem is that it puts us in a hole while we spend the first half with him figuring things out and gaining more confidence

Starkel was much more decisive running the offense. I think he has better vision of what is happening on the field. If I were in Sumlin's position I would start Starkel. My guess is that he will start Mond because he is concerned about drama associated with a QB controversy.

Starkel is our guy. He's still very sore from what I hear and not 100% yet. Let Mond ride this crap show out imo. Starkel will win the QB competition when a new coach is inserted. No need to risk his future for sumlins sake
