I think we'd all be happy with Dana at 1.2 a year

What does he make now?

Wouldn't we be responsible for some of the buyout as well ($8 Million IIRC)?

His salary is ~2.7M/yr

8.7M for WVU to buy out him and his staff

Drops by ~3M Jan. 1st (which lines up with speculation that nothing will happen before the bowl)

No. There's a 2M buyout he would be responsible for if he decided to quit/leave for another HC position.

But in this case, it would be WVU terminating the contract and they would be stuck with paying him.

A guy who definitely has a drinking and gambling problem is reuniting with his old buddy who allegedly has a drinking problem. What could go wrong?

Spurrier announced tonight in New York he was giving his final pay check back to SC. He stated

quote:

"I'll find something to do here pretty soon that'll take up some more time," Spurrier said. "I am completely at peace that I made the right decision."

Then he and Sumlin laughed and walked into the bar together

I can't help it, I so want them to find something. I've been intrigued by Oak Island since I was a kid.

I am the same. I know the show is hokey and they're just stringing everyone along for nothing, but I can't help it. I've been interested in Oak Island since I saw that episode of In Search Of... with Leonard Nemoy as a kid.

I don't so much care if they find treasure, I want to see if in fact all the elaborate flood tunnels and stuff truly exist the construction nerd side of me just has to know

He was talking about Oak Island, not our supposed OC search.

But Cumbie is the guy UT is chasing anyway. I've never had the impression that we were interested.

I sure hope we are not. He's too unproven. Let him call plays at a smaller school or a Big 12 school before we hand over the reigns again. Sumlin is 0-2 when doing that.

Of course. I was thinking he called plays before A&M, but that would be at UH and he would still be under Sumlin. 1-2. I still want a somewhat proven playcaller.

It's like people have completely forgotten how many times we all melted over Kingsbury's playcalling.

It. Was. All. The. Time.
