But seriously, their fans are going to be mighty upset when we start playing again and it's at the beginning of the year. With all the scheduling changes that have gone on SEC wise I don't see any way LSU is moved off that date even if we wanted it. And that's fine with me. Topic for another thread though

? Texas will never have a killer student section again because there are too many things for students to do in Austin... ….compare with Manhattan, Ames, Lawrence, Norman, Fort Worth, Waco, Lubbock, etc. Tis why California schools’ student sections are zero factors. Too many better things to do in LA, San Diego, and San Fran—-and can watch on huge HDTVs.

my stance on the game has quickly changed from, it will come back eventually and ill welcome it when it does, to I hope we don't play for a long time. frick them

are they really trying to say Austin is on the same level as LA, san diego, or SF?

Posted on 2/18/14 at 12:56 pm to WestCoastAg
Yeah I don't care too much honestly. I do think it will come back but it's whatever.

I am enjoying beating them on absolutely every front right now and knowing there is nothing they can do about it but bitch

Here's a follow up article with a whole bunch of words blaming the student ticket process. I wonder when someone will come out and just say their fans are soft
A lot of Texas fans sure seem to forget it wasn't that long ago that Mack Brown had to publicly shame their fans with the whole "Come early, stay late, wear orange, be loud" campaign. I see a lot of their fans blame Mack and the last few teams for the enthusiasm issues but the truth is they have always had trouble keeping fans excited outside of A&M, Arkansas, and Oklahoma when it comes to conference matchups.

there are 20+ million people combined in the LA and SD areas and lets add that on to the top 5 metro area that SF is. that's ridiculous they think Austin is on that level, it really is

Their arrogance is a national joke at this point. It's almost unreal, like they're trying to parody themselves.

If Aggies wrote the sips a script of how to embarrass themselves the worst, starting with realignment, it wouldn't touch the damage they have done to themselves irl.
They are literally walking themselves down the primrose path in front of God and country

The "too much shite to do" argument always kills me. If you would rather go to Lake Travis or go to some food truck on South Congress than tailgate and attend one of the 7 or 8 home college football weekends you get a year then football isn't that important to you, which is fine.
Not to mention at the alumni level schools like A&M have thousands leaving major cities like Houston and Dallas for College Station every home weekend

I do enjoy how many of their fans that never wanted to play us again in 2011 because "it is lose-lose for Texas" now are desperate to play to "put us in our place."
I know we will play again one day, but I hope its never a regular thing while I am alive.
