Everyone happy about the new AD?

So apparently this guy is so underwhelming as an AD hire that we don't even have a thread stating he's the new AD. I honestly don't know if I should be bummed or excited by this hire. All I know about him is he convinced Chris Peterson to coach there. That's literally the last time I can remember Washington athletics crossing my radar when they announced Peterson.

Up here, they are NOT happy to see him go. They weren't happy about losing Young either.

Go back and look at the last 5 years of Directors Cup results comparing UW and A&M. One school has been gradually improving, the other steadily declining.

Well that's always a good sign. Personally I think he's crazy for leaving the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, but I hope he kills it here.

Well that is always a good sign. I hope you are at least enjoying a little local schadenfreude out of this.

It's overshadowed by the Seahawks right now.

I have no idea why he would leave Washington for A&M. Hell, I can't believe Young left for A&M. UDub is a damn good school. Maybe their BMHs are more insufferable than ours.

The Assistant AD for Marketing job posted today. He's probably bringing some staff with him. Oh, and a Trainer position posted, too.

More bloat?

I don't get it either. UW is right on the lake in Seattle. That campus is beautiful. We're in an insufferably hot, nearly treeless pasture in Texas, 90 minutes from a characterless urban sprawl that's essentially a giant refinery.

Is this similar to Cook's role? Sounds like this would be someone that works for Cook.

That's like receiving $1 Million Dollars in cash and complaining about the watermark.

He made it so I can't purchase any A&M merchandise. I have a strong dislike for the man.

There is plenty of non bevel stuff out there, you just have to look for it.

No, that was Bill's doing when he signed that first Adidas deal.

It's not as good. All the nice, first rate, modern merchandise has the bevel feces smeared on it.
