When was the last time Foster was the best option? 2021?

Ah, is it time for the yearly Foster shouldn’t be doing shot-put in the spring and be committed to football arguments? Certainly an Aggie tradition at this point.

Play the best player, no doubt, if that’s still Foster then it says a lot about our depth at the position. But I think that’s why we’ve seen the portal usage we have on lineman.

Elko owes nothing to any of these players, no favorites like Jimbo had. Make em all work and earn spots back, then play the best players.

Since the basketball thread got anchored, Buzz got his first transfer with Big 10 Sixth Man of the Year, CJ Wilcher from Nebraska. He shot 94% from the free throw line and 39% from 3 so he fills a massive need for us.

He hasn't improved since his sophomore season.

Obviously we still have quite a few holes to fill. I am beyond concerned about the OL at this point, but actually feel much better about LB. Go figure

Dang, just saw Isaiah Raikes is back in the portal from USC, that didn’t last long.

Has anybody that’s transferred out from our program the last few years crushed it somewhere else? There was that defensive end that went to tech and got drafted in the first round a few years ago, but that’s all I can remember.

And I do realize it’s still not good to be losing depth no matter how good or bad, and if the players aren’t contributing big at other schools it means we missed on talent evaluations/developing them as players. But it’s still fascinating to me to track.

Is this the way to work around transferring within the same conference?

Jeremiah Martin, Kellen Diesch, Jashaun Corbin all turned into really solid college contributors

Interesting, will have to look into those guys. I remember the hype about Diesch since we had been struggling to get high ranked o-line guys for a while.

And for the Bryce haters, yall can breathe easy, this was posted either on TA premium or 24/7, had a buddy send this over.

Been hearing a lot of smoke regarding some potential transfer outs as of late, as it seems like the staff has begun speaking to a few of the players about their futures with the team and figuring out if staying at Texas A&M is in their best interest. I won't speculate too much on a few guys, but I will note that Bryce Foster, who's started at center since arriving to College Station, is among those. From those l've spoken to, there's a sense that the staff is moving on from him at center as we've seen evident with the addition of Utah's Kolinu'u Faaiu. Not too sure what would happen if they decide to go that route with him being a part of the Aggies' T&F program, but it certainly is trending that way based off a few discussions l've had lately.

Or Moczulski, which worries me because that means we are relying on Bond again.

Also, Dorian Hinton, the FAU Transfer OL, is not on the roster.

By my count, we are still at 88 scholarship players including those who haven't gotten on campus yet. (74 on the current Spring Roster)

How is Smart Chibuzo in the portal? Hasn't he been medically retired since 2022?
