It was just so awkward watching Charlie try to name off kids names. I know that he didn't know who all of them were. It was all scripted reading off a paper. He kept referring to their size for each recruit. He just isn't the type of politician that Mack was.

Hey TBird (or any Aggie here), wasn't this Sumlin's 3rd class? All composite top 5 or 10?

And at a place like texas, if he doesn't win right away, that will sink him quicker than anything.

Brown's political savvy is what got him an extra 2 years of coaching there, IMO.

nobody is. That's the thing I don't think anyone gets. Mack was a terrible coach. But honest to god, he may be the GOAT recruiter. He kisses babies like no one I've ever seen. I desperately wanted to hate him but that mfer is just a nice dude

Strong reminds me too much of Sherman. He's a football coach and a good one. But big time jobs require more than that.

3rd class but 2nd full one

His first class ended up 16th, but that was after he was hired in December. Big news was flipping Thomas Johnson

His 2 full cycle classes have all been top 10. Last year was either 8 or 9, this was year was 5, if things hold out, next year can be top 3

I just told him that I really believe that it's going to be someone else pulling the strings. Charlie is the face now of the organization. But this whole changing the lifestyle of football is Austin is going to be difficult. Players didn't come to Texas because of the strict policies by the coaching staff, they came to party in Austin and play football.
