Jimbo seems to have been won over by Mond showing growth as a passer, as well as demonstrating leadership qualities. Will be interesting to see how much leeway Jimbo gives him to audible, or just wants him to run what he calls.

Well, I'd say Jimbo made the correct call on who our starting QB ought to be.

Lots of other things we'll talk about now, but this isn't one of them.

If tonight proved anything it's that Nick Starkel will never start another game at A&M.

Yep. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d go bump a few threads from last year were posters questioned if he was even D1 material and wrote him off after several losses. He definitely had some rough spots his first season but Jimbo looks to be right on track developing him along. Think he can be a really good one in a year or two.

I’m sure I was one of those posters. I imagine saying something like “we will never win anything of significance under Mond,” and we may not, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t impressed. He has delivered some big time throws knowing he’s about to take a pop.

However, does anybody else think that touchdown pass to quartney Davis, when Mond avoided pressure and was rolling to his left, was just a really bad throw that was intended for Ausbon who was wide open, but luckily found Davis?

He got VERY lucky on a couple of TD passes.

True. But this kid isn't even recognizable as the same one that played last year. I'm eating Crow and loving every bite.

Ditto. His progression from year 1 to year 2 has been absolutely remarkable. Been biased towards him the whole time since he's a San Antonio boy. Hope he wins us a title.
