Interesting that Schloss sat them down after the early exit in Hoover. Apparently he isn’t happy with their performance the last month or so either

I think Schloss has a good read on the team.

He's probably shocked that they got the 3 seed, as he had probably read your posts about how they had lost their chance at a national seed.

I'm still surprised they won the rubber game with Arkansas. They played terrible down the stretch, and probably should have been closer to UGA's seed.

According to what metric?

Do you really have to ask when it comes to him? He still thinks UGA and Arkansas are better teams and we suck.

Metrics - if we’d lost to Arkansas as I talked about, would have lost the last three series, two of which were unranked teams. But we salvaged that. The main reason we retained a NS is the OOC record. And apparently the SEC Tournament really doesn’t mean anything at all.

I figured a seven seed was about right given how we tanked the end of the season. We don’t suck - we just haven’t played well for about a month now … may have peaked early

We played better than Clemson and Florida State did over the past month and we own the season series over Georgia and Arkansas so we’re always going to be ahead of all those schools.

Also, which one of the 9-16 schools would you have put over us? The Oklahoma schools? They are the only Big 12 schools to not get a three seed so that should tell you all you need to know about that conference. NC State and Virginia? They were not going to pick a 4th ACC school over a SEC school.

You need to stop pretending that you know what you’re talking about because it’s beyond embarrassing at this point.

Are you satisfied with today's performance? We have some hitters that are in a big-time slump. Look like sleepwalking out there.

We won 8-0. Georgia was tied with Army in the bottom of the 8th and won by one. Kentucky won by two against Western Michigan. Vanderbilt lost. East Carolina lost. Duke lost. UNC is currently losing to Long Island. I will take an 8-0 no doubter over any of those results.

Oh you're happy with the most dominating win amongst the regional favorites so far?

Because I'm not. I'm smart at baseball.

No I shouldn’t be, now why haven’t the Rockies signed me up as a scout because I know metrics!

So UNC needed six runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat Long Island and Clemson is tied with High Point 3-3 in the bottom of the ninth. Don’t they know the real way to hop on the struggle bus is by winning by 8 and shut out your opponent but NOT hit a HR during the game.

I have seen no signs of life out of this club since late April other than a weekend series against Arkansas. Maybe they can find a spark playing Texas …

A team that choked at home in their own regional? I'm starting to see the comparison.

Chin up, buddy. There's still a chance we play poorly next weekend.

There’s always Oregon for those two.

If this team makes it out of Supers next weekend the season is a success. And Schloss would have two teams in Omaha in his first three years. That is impressive. Don't know anything at all about Oregon other than they won the regional as a three seed. Hope we don't take them lightly

Team really looks great since beating Texas. New attitude and life

Good pitching, below average hitting.
