Listen to his message and look at what he's actually done. He's not heavy handed pushing his views. He pushes the constitution.

Sorry, but the way he crosses his strong religious beliefs with his campaign is a major turn off. I don't mind when a candidate mentions God or talks about his faith, but Ted Cruz talks about his religion a little bit too much for my comfort. I need to be reassured that a candidate can put aside his faith and act in good faith for all the people, Protestant or not.

Don't get me wrong, as a Catholic, I'd love to have a good Christian in the White House. But I know in this new brave world that the president should represent all the people, regardless of faith. Cruz has made it clear that his religion is his guide. As a senator, he has done a good job as far as voting conservative, but that 'church-y' cloud still hangs over him.

Having said that, Cruz vs Hillary...I'm taking Cruz. Unfortunately, it's looking like Trump vs Hillary...so Hillary 2016 it is

nonetheless.

The man claims he had static in his ear piece and didn't hear correctly. I listened to the audio, and I didn't think even that much of a n explanation was warranted.

What??? He's full of shite! You know why? Because during the interview, Donald answered back with...
quote:
"Just so you understand, I don't know anything about David Duke, OK?"

So that means his mic was good enough that he understood the words 'David Duke'.

And yes, he did disavow David Duke in the past, so he completely knew who David Duke was. So why deflect now? What was his game plan on not disavowing a racist?

It has been SOOOO disheartening to read posters who I considered to be rational falling for stuff like "He didn't hear correctly. He had a bad ear-piece."

Whether you think the Duke endorsement is something he should have to address, or if it's manufactured nonsense... that's one thing. It's very much another thing for someone to be promoting such a blindingly false defense as "he just didn't hear".

I think if you looked at his record, it is very clear that he is very much in favor of religious freedom, not in using the govt. to foist one religion or the other off on the rest of the American people.

Having said that, I almost envy your opinion of Cruz. I almost wish I didn't think he was a true constitutionalist. Because it's going to be that much more painful when we nominate the spray-tan charlatan instead of the real deal.

That's why I'm getting on that terribly aging, old hag, wide butt bandwagon called Hillary early. It diminishes the sting quite a bit . Still holding hope for anyone but Trump, but that's not likely to happen. His supporters are clinging to him so hard that he can say whatever he wants. Trump could call his supporters 'idiots', and they will still vote for him.

At this point, it's electing the least worst viable candidate.

Polls show he is actually the least electable in the general of any GOP candidate. They show Rubio destroying Hilary as a matter of fact.

The problem with Trump is that his current supporters will vote for him and no one else will. Millions of republicans will stay home. He is a niche candidate who isn't going to sway anyone who isn't already in. Meanwhile he will galvanize democratic voters who are convinced he is Hitler.

After I'm off for work Ted Cruz will have another vote for him in the great state of Texas. If he doesn't win the nomination, I will vote for trump, i don't like him and think it will be a disaster but he would be less of a disaster than the dem nomination. I would never vote for Hilary. Never. Family is a bunch of snakes.

Yeah I've voted GOP since I turned 18 and I won't vote in this one most likely. We've seen some fricked up political shite in this country but I don't know if I've ever truly hated two candidates as much as Trump and Hillary. Cruz isn't far behind either

The way I see it, it is not a vote for Trump, but rather a vote against Clinton.

To me the VP means very little. Picking someone like Kasich does nothing for me. Hell even if he picks Cruz I don't think I'd vote for him.
