Is posting on a message board lame? What about following recruiting? Being really into a game played by teenagers and people in their early 20s?

Dude, Google only developed Android to collect user data for advertisements. Facebook's app is tracking the crap out of you too. The phone in your pocket is a bug the 1970's KGB would kill for. I think the privacy concerns of a single game is a little overblown.

True. The data collection is happening all the time.
Message boards are for sports and recruiting junkies. I get that.
Pokemon just seems childish and brainless, but its probably just a generational thing. I'm probably just too old and don't understand what makes it fun.
