Just throwing this out here:
After 4 games
Kyle Allen: 64-98-2, 952 yards, 11 TD, 65.3% completion, 179.84 efficiency, 28 carries, 71 yards, 2 TD
Kenny Hill: 97-139-1, 1359 yards, 13 TD, 69.8% completion, 181.34 efficiency, 16 carries, 106 yards, 0 TD
Replacing Hill's Lamar numbers with ARKANSAS numbers, you get this:
101-154-2, 1462 yards, 13 TD, 65.6% completion, 170.59 efficiency, 20 carries, 130 yards, 0 TD

Can we break down pass completions, attempts, TD's greater than 15 yards? I believe we should see a big difference there.
And
Kyle Allen > Kenny Hill
On the maturity scale

You forgot beers drunk on Hill's stats

No one should question Kenny's physical ability. He just wasn't mentally ready for all that attention/pressure.

Lets look at who they faced.
Hill faced the #51, 93, and 119 ranked defenses plus and FCS team. 1 was a P5 school.
Allen faced the #34, 53, 95, and 116 ranked defenses. 2 were P5 schools.

I'll be more interested in what Kyle does in the next 4 games.
Here is Trill's line.
1290 yards
182 attempts
7.09 YPA
10 TDs
7 INTs
1-3 record

Trill's stats don't really tell you much though. Once we started getting our asses handed to us last year by the better teams he's put up solid numbers in garbage time so it wouldn't seem like he did as bad as he did. I agree that Kyle > Kenny no matter what stats you show me. The biggest one to me is Northgate pictures taken in flower boxes: Kenny -1 Kyle-0

Hey JM could handle his partying. As long as he handled his business on the field, which he did, I couldn't care less about what he did in his free time. From all accounts Trill's free time adventures were a distraction in the locker room and affecting his play which is why I give him sh** about it.

Ummm.....that's why I pointed it out

Definitely.
Would also like to see how many completions Hill had where he threw behind the receiver allowing the defender to catch up and make a tackle. Throws that were behind crossing receivers was the one of the biggest problems he had.
Allen hitting guys in stride. Just look at Kirk. He has gotten huge benefits from catching the ball in front of him on the run. The guy covering him has no chance to catch up. Last year we had guys sliding to a stop and reaching back and down to catch balls (or attempt to catch balls). State game was probably Hills worst passing game under 15 yards... a disaster. Yuk.
Allen is the man without question.

Hill was always a gifted QB, he just also happened to be a headcase. He got fricked in the head and combined with his drinking it doomed him.
Also, he struggled stretching defense with the deep ball which allowed teams to play our short routes very aggressively.

My point is that, if Mississippi State thinks they're going to have a defensive performance like they did against Kenny Hill...they're going to be sorely disappointed.

How does the OP make that point? The numbers seem very even.

They're not even. They clearly favor Trill.

I don't see that. They both averaged about 10 yds per attempt, trill rushed a bit more but Allen got two td's to show for his
And Allen has played slightly tougher competition

Trill 400 more yards, 2 more passing TDs, higher eff, higher YPA, etc.
The numbers are close, but Trill's are better. Regardless, I agree, I don't see his point being made at all. If anything most would infer it means Allen aint as good as we all think if Trill could play this well and then fall off.

But Allen did it against stiffer competition, ASUs pass defense and blitzing ability was legit. SC, not so much
