Kaiser, for the record, 80+% of all West Pointers aren't "serious about a military career" because they are "5 and done".

If Sumlin is going to get behind Corps Block than those dudes best be hooking him up with some quid quo pro and support his desire for cheerle... I mean... the dance team to be on the sidelines during games.

Hey, it's either that or seeing only half the field in the Corps corner

I actually prefer the nosebleeds for football games.

I support cheerleaders and the ADT at football games.

If it works at Reed Arena, then there's even more elbow room for it to work at Kyle Field.

I live for Garrett's facial expressions.
I want to trap them inside a glass ampoule and make a necklace with them.
I shall call my invention Myles vials.

There are more ways to commission than just the NROTC. The numbers are never accurate

OCS and PLC numbers are also capped by Congress.

The services can only commission a certain number of Lieutenants and Ensigns in any fiscal year.

The academies contribute 700-1000 apiece.

It is not mathematically possible for any school not named USMA, USNA, USAFA, or USMMA to commission every cadet.

The academies even have a 25% attrition rate between years 1 and 3.

If they were and made it known en masse it would already be done with the way that campus works. I am 100% certain the Traditions Council and other student leaders would do a very fast about face on their stance regarding the Aggie Dance Team being on the sidelines during the games. At that point the only person you would need to sway is Hyman and I think he would go with it since Sumlin has already expressed his desire for them to be on the sidelines.

I think you overestimate how much pull it has on anything Kyle Field. The corps commander falls under the student body president so you have to get approval there. Besides, no one give a shite about the students and this matter. You ask the guys who win the games and pay the bills.

I guarantee if sumlin wanted cheerleaders out there , it would happen. You don't need corps members protesting to put
Classy arse out there on the field.

As far as being accepted because you join the corps. Its
One of those myths that people say. I don't know.

Its not a written rule but also not a complete myth. When I was in HS, I was told that since I wasn't top 10, that if I wanted to secure a spot at A&M that I should look into the corps by at least 2 people within A&M. (Didn't need it though )

After I left A&M, I worked with some of the recruiters and they said that the unwritten rule was for the most part gone....unless you were considered a minority within the corps. Apperently the Corps has been trying to diversify their member body and were trying to match the same % as that of the rest of the A&M student body. Its not a guaranteed acceptance, but I was told that it did help. I know that they had a summer bridge for these type of students who were accepted on condition they attend the program and pass their classes with (I believe was) 2.5 GPR. But who knows, that may be gone too.

What I can tell you is that the automatic legacy acceptance is gone for good.

The Corps Commander does not fall under the student body president.

What kind of nonsense is this?

The COMMANDANT falls under the vice president for student affairs.

I don't support it because I don't think CTs should have to attend as outfits and remember Kyle before Corps Block.

Both groups unanimously voted against the Aggie Dance team performing during games.

Oh yeah?! Well I declare the council 'unanimously' un-American!

Vote it again!
