Why? Teams like Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, hell even the former Big 12 rival Colorado I can get behind. But why ASU? I just don't see how we benefit by playing them.

Next thing you know Hank will start a thread claiming we are chickening out by playing an also ran like Clemson instead of Oregon.

There are 130 teams trying to fill four non-con games with one quality non-con every year. You can't handpick a top 10 team every year especially that far into the future. And an ASU roadtrip would probably be fun for a lot of people. The Traveling Aggies will just load up their RV's and make a scenic trip through the Southwest. Plus ASU hotties for young men to creep on. Also for the old men to creep on.

I like getting home and home series against teams we seldom play. I'd like to see us line up a couple of Big 10 opponents in the future too.

Yeah, it's been forever since the Ags have had a home/away with a Big10.

Looking at jhowell's site:

They went to Penn State in 79.
To Michigan in 77.
To Illinois in 76.

Long time. Ohio State or any of those would be phenomenal road trips. Illinois might not excite everyone, but that would mean a Chicago trip.

Arizona has some pretty good football talent.

ASU is a Power 5 team that has some pretty good seasons here and there, but we should still expect to Win 99 games out of 100.

Makes sense to me.

Champagne, IL is almost 2 hours south of Chicago.

I have google maps too.

Do you imagine that all visiting fans going to their first A&M game fly into Easterwood and make a weekend out of BCS?

Fans fly into Chicago for Notre Dame games. They also got trains up there.

Some of the sports roadtrips my dad and I have taken to meet up w/ friends and do other shite on the trip would probably scramble your logistics subroutine.
