but seriously, she bought some sort of crazy potato peeler so I asked what she was going to do with it since I'd never seen her peel potatoes before. She responded that she would now that she had a fancy potato peeler

I wish I could answer. I remember I was out of town for a week and she had like 10 boxes delivered because she was bored. She never spent real money but just bought every fricking useless piece of shite that could be bought "as seen on tv." It was truly an obsession and I remember thinking it was funny. But it was her money not mine
