Jimbo needs to have the same epiphany Dabo had in year 3

If you’ll recall, Dabo took over mid season in 2008 and at the time was co-OC with Billy Napier. Napier stayed on from 2008-2010 but effectively in a Darrell Dickey role with Dabo having significant input in playcalling. Clemson struggles and IIRC he almost got fired after 2010 when they won like 6 or 7 games.
That offseason he relinquished all playcalling and down to down coaching responsibilities, hired Chad Morris, became a true CEO coach and the rest is history. He hasn’t won less than 10 games since.
Jimbo needs to recruit, hire good coordinators, kiss babies and optimize the mindset of his program and players. His playcalling and coaching philosophy are outdated.

I agree, the slow, methodical ball control offense just isn’t getting the job done. Even Alabama and LSU moved away from it a few years ago.
Side question. We have a lot of times we either have a delay of game penalty or jimbo has to call a timeout to avoid it. Poor game time management. Being Jimbo has only had Mond as his QB during his time here, who do y’all attribute that problem to? Mond? Jimbo having too much to manage being head coach and OC? Both?

Mond often doesn't even have the play figured out until 10-15 seconds left on the play clock.

I honestly don’t think Mond really cares. He has to know by now his NFL chances are slim to none. Given his history with BLM and obvious problem with part of A&M do we really think he gives a damn if they win or lose

If he tries to come back in 2021, he needs to be cut off.

Man the first half of the game today he called great plays, we actually “played to win” and we moved the ball well but we seemed to go back to that “play not to lose” slow style of offense.
