Yeah, once I found out about the Sandusky thing it was a no go for me.

Looks like we have hired Tim Brewster. Being reported at least.
Huge if true.

Update on this is that it really looks like we are close to hiring Brewster. Brewster could be hitting the recruiting trial for us as soon as mid-week.

Someone has to teach the tight ends how to play tight end...something that hasn't happened since 2010 (Hutson Prioleau)

That seems pretty telling. But stranger things have happened I guess, maybe FSU is trying to make a push.

Guessing he’s replacing fan favorite Aaron Moorehead as WR coach

EIther that or maybe stays on at Quality Assurance like at FSU? They say he can recruit, but does coaching LSU receivers really prepare you to teach kids how to get open and catch?

interesting. i thought i'd read he was planning on staying at fsu. anybody have any thoughts on him? he's he regarded as a top recruiter/coach?

Really good recruiter, and he was Co-OC/WR at Auburn. I don’t recall the whole story, but I thought he was well respected and people thought he left his alma mater for the WR coach job at LSU because LSU was more stable and doing better at the time. How he ended up only making $8 an hour at FSU is beyond me though...

Ah, just saw he’s getting a salary offset from LSU in the neighborhood of $575,000. That makes a little more sense.

He’s a great recruiter and believe was the reason FSU got Jameis. Not sure about coaching

One of the most elite recruiters in the country. Deep ties to hs football in Florida, Georgia, and Bama.
Really makes it clear what Jimbo's plan is. It's funny because he was asked in the pressed today whether getting assistants with ties to Texas was important, and his ultimate answer was he wanted to get the best possible because even if they don't have ties to the state, good coaches can build relationships and trust with Texas hs coaches.
