Good/Bad/Ugly from week 1

Good:
- The wide receivers are night and day better, I mean it’s dramatic. Those 4 wide sets with Marshall/Smith/Brown/Stewart are gonna be stupid good later in the year.

- There’s a clear focus on pushing the ball downfield and using more air raid/run and shoot concepts as opposed to nearly exclusive west coast passing concepts

- The DL is just nasty. It’s going to be impossible for people to run the ball between the tackles on us. We may struggle with misdirection and QB read stuff with all the inexperience but tackle to tackle we’ll give up 3 YPC or less in most games.

- This is the best safety play we’ve ever had at A&M

- Haynes King’s confidence, that dude doesn’t give a frick and is gonna shoot his shot

Bad:
- Haynes King’s eyes are bigger than his stomach so to speak, he tries too hard sometimes and is ignoring reads. He also has way too much belief in an arm that’s not capable of making some of the throws he tries to make.

- Our run scheme is disjoined, we don’t know what we want to do. We ran a mishmash of man and zone blocking which is strange especially in college. Just odd overall.

- Linebacker play outside of Cooper is not up to the standard of the rest of the defense. Russell and White aren’t high level P5 starters.

- Chase Lane has no business seeing meaningful reps anymore, he’s about the 6th best receiver on the roster now

- I guess we know why Max Wright was starting before got hurt, because none of the young TEs can block for shite

Ugly:
- Every OL but Big Dick Deuce played like warmed over dog shite. Not sure how fixable this is in two weeks time.

- SECN TV production is a joke. Everything from the camera angles to image quality to broadcast crew are just awful
