Why would Chavis be DC at UGA when he's about to be head coach of A&M?

Our football program reminds me of that scene in It's A Wonderful Life where they're gleefully dancing in the gym and then someone opens up the sliding floor to the pool beneath and people start falling in, unaware of what's happening.

Point of order, good sir! That is NOT how it went down in IAWL.

The floor opened, buy only George and Mary were the ones unaware. Everyone else was screaming as the couple danced nearer and nearer the ledge and finally fell in. Then the rest of the crowd jumped in for fun.

Get your Christmas--I mean, get your Meltmas movies straight, son!

He doesn't want to stick around with the shite storm thats about to sit over CS for a while (no offense to yall, this is all on KS) and he definitely doesn't want to coach a defense who will be on the field 80% of the game because the offense cant make a first and lost both of its qb's. It will also be tremendously more difficult for him on the recruiting trail for next year or so until this all settles down.

He can take a lateral move to Athens, keeps hs recruiting ties out west and use Smarts out here. Our defense is on the rise and has a ton of talented young players with big game experience coming back.

I'm not here to stir shite. I'm just telling yall what I know.

Tl:dr. He wants out. We want him in.

It would make a lot of sense for him to want to leave honestly and I can see why. Only one person to blame in all this

I very sincerely doubt that Chavis goes anywhere.

If he does, I'm too numb to care tho

I feel ya. Hell, i hope you're right. Personally I think we need to hire a younger DC who can be a student of Smart. I'm just saying from what I've heard, regardless if he comes to Athens or not. He will not be in College Station next year. Doesnt want what is about to happen to mess up his reputation.

Meh. Now you're speculating. No one knows anything with any certainty.
