I don't know if it has been posted but the BOR has an agenda item for this weeks meeting to adjust the capital plan for FY 25 for a renovation project with a total planning amount of $60M.

Scope - "The project will renovate several player amenities including the locker room, hitting and pitching facilities, weight room, team meeting spaces, bull-pens, and coaches' offices. Premium seating renovations will include the current club, concourses, restrooms, additional reserved seating, and additional food service areas. In addition, the scoreboard may be relocated and updates to the current fire lane will be needed to accommodate the increased stadium footprint."

Your priorities are wrong.

Schloss achieved more in year 1 than Jimbo & Buzz combined.

$60 M passed for Olsen. That's enough to build a brand-new stadium. It's going to be one of the best in college baseball.

Not really.

It's the DFW teams I grew up watching plus the 3 major sports at A&M.

The Stars and FCD fall to the back end b/c they are newer.

It’s too bad your Rangers never got to experience a World Championship.

Another informative post on TA

quote:

We've been told that a new 10-12K seat stadium would be in the $100-120M range. Thats a ballpark number, but an educated estimate by professionals who are in the business of building ballparks. The $60M POR that was approved by the BOR is a placeholder number for a renovation of BBP. We can now officially hire the architect/design firm and flesh out the renovation concepts. I personally think what we want will end up being more than the $60M, but we'll see. If the delta between renovation and a new build tightens, we will need to consider the new option. That's my opinion and not the official position of A&M. I believe that renovating the existing site is preferred by most. Whatever we do, we need to make sure we leapfrog our competition. Not the biggest capacity, but the best. We can't build something that opens in 2024-2025 and is immediately passed by others. Think 2030 and beyond. The renderings from several years ago are outdated at this point. We are still in the ideation phase, but with the BOR approval, the pace should increase now. Whether renovated or new, I am confident that the end result will be something that Schloss and the baseball program deserve and that it will be unique to Aggie Baseball and Texas A&M.
