Well there goes the North Shore pipeline

Apparently he didn't like how much Fisher had him blocking ... somebody spoke with the North Shore coach and was told as much

Not a great look for Banks if that is the case.

Being able to block as a receiver is how Megatron was drafted as high as he was. He would have been mid-1st otherwise.

Our WR recruiting and development is a big Ole woof

Lol he was 6 5 240 and ran a 4.35 with a 45 inch vert. He’s one of the most physically gifted athletes anyone has ever seen, he didn’t go high because of his blocking skills

Perroni saying he was going home every weekend, and didn't gell with anyone on the team. Said TCU is a favorite because of Zach Evans and another North Shore player being there.

So just not a good fit. Showed up kind of heavy, and if you are reading the tweets from some of our players, they are not complementary ... you definitely have to block in Fisher's offense. As far as our WR development, I'm not too upset
If we lose Hez, it looks like Preston, Moose, and Price could all step in. Demas runs with the ones until he gets hurt. Don't forget Chapman either. I'm also excited to see what Arkeith does in the Fall.
I think WR is starting to have some promise, but the development has been slower.

Let's slow down just a little bit.
The last class clearly sucked without Banks.
Demas being nothing hurts too.
But Lane & Smith were both recruited and developed by Jimbo and look solid. Price looks promising based on the spring. Hez earned some minutes.

Yep. Brought in a fair amount of good recruits on paper, but haven’t been developing out the players. Kirk and Reynolds have been awhile back now.
Dare I say the biggest area Jimbo needs to improve on? Sumlin would occasionally hit a good receiver but we recruited so many each year it was bound to happen a few times.

I don't see it as a woof. Lane, Smith, Demas, Preston, Price, and Moose all look primed for some contribution. Arkeith Brown is going to be an interesting add this year, while Banks apparently ate himself out of the position.
Chapman and Buckley coming back from injury as well
We usually don't run more than three WR's so depth is not all that bad.

Lane is fine, and I think Chapman can be good from what we’ve seen, but Smith is the only high level difference maker. Brown Wright and potentially Banks will be high level recruits who have transferred out before making any impact whatsoever. It’s a significant weakness, I would argue the only weakness, from a recruiting and development standpoint on our staff right now. It’s our biggest question mark in my opinion and there’s no reason it should be with who we’ve brought in.

Arkeith Brown was a former DB who transferred.
Yulkeith Brown is the receiver from Miami.

I don't disagree it's a concern. I'm willing to give Jimbo the benefit of the doubt if we can get Chapman healthy and Demas up to speed to go along with Smith and Lane. Keep in mind WR is the position with the most high-level recruits and the highest failure rate. I think we'll be able to address holes in the 2022 class along with transfers if needed.

I feel better that Mond pointed to Demas as the breakout player this year. Said people don't realize how hard of a worker he is because of his personality.
