Boom is one of the best trolls I’ve ever seen. From November to April there’s at least one unsolicited thread per week by someone calling him out or responding to some comment he made. And it only heats up this time of year.
There’s a subset of probably 10-15 posters who follow him around tracking everything he says

Nah, we're done. Got the "win one for Pop/Manu" game I was hoping we'd get, but we just don't have the firepower to hang with 'em. Not without Kawhi, at least. Just glad not to get swept back to back years by the same team, and we hadn't been swept in the first round since like 1992 or something.
I mean, yeah, we won by 13, but the Warriors had closed the gap to 4 with like 3 minutes to play after being down 17. On the road. Without their PG/arguably best player (KD notwithstanding).
Just a ridiculous team. We'll be lucky to hang with 'em for a half in game 5. We have to come out red hot and they'll need to be a little off again.

Yeah he knows what he is and he's good at what he does. Generates way too many incendiary posts to ignore, knows enough solid hoops to carry on a reasonably detailed convo, and stays engaged long enough to entertain people.

He used to bother me more up until last year. He's not dumb, he's just wilfully obtuse to fit his argument, and he'll latch onto keywords and turn them into a refrain.
But he wanted the Spurs series last year. Badly. Kind of overplayed his rhetoric a bit, so when he came back afterwards trying to play it off, that revealed what the game is.
But like I said, he's damn good at his schtick, and he'll keep getting bites regardless. I don't even mind going a couple rounds with him if I need the entertainment
