I can't believe Randolph Duke has a Texas Monthly article written about him. So many lolz.

What's the deal with Randolph Duke? I can honestly say 95%+ of my time on college-related sites is tAggyArk, and I've only heard the name in passing.

Holy shite. What a sad, pathetic man. I would love to be so privileged to care that much about shite that ultimately doesn't matter in the slightest . Does this man not have a job/family?

It won't let me comment, but could someone remind Texas Monthly that this individual vowed to go straight to the SECDEF to get A&M's senior military college status revoked?

i've done a spartacus dash and tough mudder type run.

they suck, but they're fun. i did a 5k one with the boys that was pretty awesome. my oldest got fastest finisher under 10 which was pretty boss because i kept yelling at him to suck it up.

The one I am thinking about is at Jerry World. 3+ miles with obstacles thrown in (20+). Have not decided if I am going to do it or not.

I found this part very interesting:

Degrees awarded in Doha are to be “identical in all material respects” to those awarded in College Station, Texas.

Do they get rings?

I have a fundamental problem with the country of Qatar, a country basically built on the backs of slave labor.

Had a professor that taught mechanical engineering at the Qatar campus for 6-8 years. He said all the kids were loaded as frick and just sat in class staring at their phones. No one took notes. Seems like over there you are unbelievably wealthy, or unbelievably poor. If I remember correctly, Qatar has an extremely high death count from the construction surrounding the FIFA World Cup facilities.

Because of countries like Qatar, Kuwait, etc. we have to take constant training courses on "human trafficking". Basically, when the TCNs (Third Country Nationals) reach the country, their visas and passports are taken and they have to "earn them back".

Some can't earn them back. What they are paid is sometimes barely enough to cover room/boarding, transportation fees, and food.

I know Vice has rattled the cage a bit, but for the most part major media outlets have refused to cover this modern day slavery. I hope the US moves closer for energy independence. I'm tired of making a few Saudi families richer while the rest of the region is dirt poor and living in religious oppression/war.

Nice article/video on CNN about the current Corps Commander.

It's too bad she's a Drill and Ceremonies cadet. I feel her story would have more "oomph" if she was taking a commission.
