Also spend a good amount of time researching th inspector. Mine completely screwed me.
Did that, too. Thankfully, my realtor is an Ag, and she recommended me someone who checked out on all counts (including some anecdotal support from a coworker who just bought a house this year).

That's good, my realtor was a good friend and she not only had a home inspector (recommended 3) but she made me get independent hvac and electrical inspections. I bought what I wanted which is a small craftsman style house and it has some things that it needs but nothing serious other than the wiring in one room but I used that to get a better price. House has the original hardwood floors in all but the kitchen and all the original moldings, baseboards etc that's why I bought it

Sounds like a nice setup, man
We're looking at houses in the 3 bed/2-2.5 bath range. Nothing too ornate, but with amenities Aggiebelle likes (she's not that hard to please, truth be told, thank God).

Yeah I'm happy with it, it's be remodeled at least once but I'm pretty sure it's been twice but they really didn't jack up the original layout to much. It's small but I don't need or want a big house.

Ditto. I've lived in big houses pretty much my whole life. Not planning on having anywhere near as many kids as my parents did, so I'm fine with a cozier place.
If I ever need to remodel, I'm looking your way first

I'm going to be looking for a house after the first of the year. Can you recommend an Aggie realtor in the Katy/west Houston area?

Does it have to be an Aggie?

Vicki Haislup she's not an Ag but her son is, she is a Sugarland specialist but has helped some of my family members buy all over Houston. If she can't help you she will recommend someone who can.

Terrible shows my wife watches:
1. Ghost Hunters
2. Real Housewives

Mindy project is one of the better options as far as chick shows go. Tallest midget anyway.

A Corps buddy of mine is from Houston and just bought a house there a couple months ago. I'll ask her who she used--it was either a relative of hers or an Ag, I can't remember.

Is everyone avoiding the Rant? If so why?
LSU fans are actually pretty complacent right now, I even had a real conversation with them:
