By all means
And regarding your drive...I do the same for work. I'll be in Louisville next week for a meeting with a large client. Then have to be in Indianapolis on Friday. But I'll prob fly to that one. But I'm in Nashville. And I get the soothing drive. Sometimes. Long drive and some relaxin music puts me in a good place.

In high stress/high reward sales, it's good to leave the deal 150 miles behind you sometimes. It's not easy but I want to focus on the family when I roll up in the driveway.
And I've "aha'd" the hidden key to many multi million dollar deals during that long drive.

My rule is over 6 hours and I'll consider flying. Too much personal comfort and convenience in my own vehicle.

What type of sales are you in?

Well I'm 2 hours to the closest major airport, otherwise 4 hours would probably be my threshold.

You not wanna disclose the industry you're in?

On a good day I go to one job site and stay, on a normal day I go to 3 or 4 and they vary from an hour to 4 hours apart

I wish it were that easy
Some opportunities have 4-5 decision makers and another 3-4 influencers
It's a matter of figuring out who's caring about what and who's itch is most important to scratch
I kid you've not I've won a 2.5 mm deal and been 500k higher than my competitor and won the deal because I threw in painting a lower level managers work area

I'm in waterworks now.
Although I guess Wild Thang thought I was in the Navy
And for the record, the best way to approach the rant is to go in expecting to get insulted and ready to give as good as you get. But what happens on the Rant stays on the Rant for me. The way I see it, the only way to actually post there is to act a fool
It's laughable to suggest Aggies are to blame for the state of the Rant, though. We're the johnny-come-latelys to this party. ATPB was the harbinger of a decline in quality, but to be honest, y'all lsufan's incessant capers after the GOTC with Bama and then Bama posters giving it back to y'all in spades after :21-0: is what did it. Everyone else basically fell in line with y'all after that (except for Arky. They were rustling folks before it was cool).

I'm driving almost 40k a year how about you?

I don't even post on tRant anymore, you try and answer a question or make a relevant comment and all you get in return is bullshite or some idiot trying to piss you off, so I stuck to here the OTB and the OTL.

Yeah at least you can have actual conversations on the off topic boards.
I mainly go to the Rant when I'm bored and looking for trouble.

It started well before 21-0. When Saban went to Bama, the SECr was created, and has been a shitshow since then. I'm only implying that the state of tRant today is largely due to the influx of some pretty god awful aTm posters. Shitty Bama and LSU posters have been posting on TD since 2003 and on tRant since its inception. But it has gotten significantly worse since some of yall have made it a point to only use tRant as a place to "act a fool". The fact that multiple posters in the last few pages of this thread, you included, have said that is pretty telling. You're an admin on this site, man.
I enjoy the banter and the trash talking in doses. It's fun and can spark legitamite debate amongst posters who know SEC sports. But aTm fans and LSU fans both need to realize when they are doing nothing but making the board worse.
IMO the SECr should be a place for folks to a)discuss and debate SEC sports and b) talk trash to each other. If Chicken would actually appoint someone as an admin who frequents the board, we could keep the BS to a minimum. If it's a refreshing topic, or a well thought out troll, leave it. If it's the 8th Chavis thread or the 10th "look at us we are so cool" thread from folks like Farmer, it should be whacked.
I've been posting since 2003 or 2004ish and have a brother who has as well. I can straight up give you a timeline on the board of when it got its shittiness. Right now, aTm fans on tRant are more insufferable than any Bama fan after 21-0.

I've never seen Tbird instigate a troll. But he's a magician at counter-punching.
