Highly recommend. A&M has built its academic reputation significantly on its grad school output. Several schools are highly ranked nationally.

youre right, it has a solid ranking.
as far as what ive seen from one year programs (only 4 months longer), its the only one that "looks" like a regular full time program with all the fringe benefits and internship to go with an awesome price.
uf has a great price and is a solid mba, but no internship, would probably pick a&m even if they did.

Are you going to work during or just do full time? What are you wanting to do afterward and where are you wanting to do it?
I ended up going to law school, but when I considered MBA it was A&M all the way. I graduated from business school so I saw from the inside - it is worth every penny (and generally costs less pennies!)

full time. probably just do mis. really wanna do finance, but all my background is in management and now web development for a financial services company. Ill do it in texas.
i thought about part time, but i want the network and internship, which im willing to do at 16 months. I dont have much faith in part time mbas unless i was doing it for a company i already worked for.

I have a buddy who did MIS/information systems. I make good money in law, but I would bet he makes damn near the same as me in IT at Chevron, and he did it without half the stress/debt. He's killing it right now

yeah, tech is a good field to be in. beats running a granite business, lol.
your right about the lifestyle and the stress, cant be beat in those departments.

Well good luck in the process man. Reach out if you need anything, that's what the network is for. There are several guys who did the biz school here - me, farmer, third I think, and others. You won't regret

are those distance degrees legit? do you get the network, job placement/internships?
i kinda glanced over that, but hesitant about distance degrees, maybe i shouldnt be.

You wear the ring and you're part of the Aggie Network. If you haven't noticed, we're some very positive and upbeat people when it comes to our University and Alumni.
Good luck!

From what I've heard it is but I don't have a lot of first hand knowledge. I only got my undergrad.

I'm at the Bush School of Government and Public Service for Master's in International Affairs. Since we both agree our respective programs are great choices I don't think we have to go over academics.
A&M was a perfect choice for me. I loved the program I'm in, it was cheap (gave me in-state tuition), it was far away from home.. but still in the SEC so you don't feel too far away and you get to see your favorite team play.
Given you'll only be here for 1 year (and myself only 2), you'll always be Tide first as I am a Gamecock first. But you'll find A&M has a way of growing on you quickly and I understood real fast how easy it would be to get super attached to the school if I were an undergrad and there for 4 or so years.
Caveat, 1 year won't be enough to learn all the traditions and yells.. but they really do want you to fit in and be as Aggie as you can be and encourage everyone to attend as many traditional events that you can. Trust me, they want anyone who is associated with the school to be as Aggie as can be.
Hell, I'm a part of a massive "Aggie Graduate and Professional Community" group on FB that is used to connect Aggies at the graduate / older crowd specifically. They host a number of events annually. And you do get access to the Aggie Network (the official site I mean)
Also, since my program specifically is about international affairs, a large number of us aren't A&M undergrads or from TX, but all the A&M grads did everything they could to help us out. (Organized events and parties for us to all network, answered questions etc.)
Will you feel different because you weren't born and raised an Aggie like a lot of them are? Sure, but no more than a born and raised Aggie would feel a bit outside at any other SEC school.
I was actually driving back to TX just today with my A&M shirt on. Stopped for lunch in AL and a kid behind the counter goes "Hey man, Gig'em.. class of '18". Similar stuff happened to me in SC as well. And it's more than just a "Gig'em" passing voice, they always want to chat you up about A&M.
As for the ring, I want one, but there are 2 issues:
1) It's $1,000+ for males
2) Didn't realize it until recently but apparently A&M and the state of SC are the only schools that really encourage buying college class rings. I have one for SC and I'm not sure if it's weird or not to have two rings. (obviously wouldn't wear them at the same time)
Sorry if there are issues with the grammar or wording, in a bit of a hurry to go grab some grub and tried to hit on all the points. Let me know if it helped.

Keeps creeping upward I paid $887 for mine. And mine was relatively plain.

Yeah I wouldn't double-ring it either That's interesting though, most folks don'end up attending undergrad and grad school at institutions with strong class ring traditions.
Btw, looking forward to hopefully meeting ya on A&M/SC game weekend
