we are apparently one of the last major programs to implement a "pitching lab" and no one good wanted to come here. at least thats the sentiment on TA.
sloosniggle and co. were excellent recruiters, and childress was just using wizardry to develop arms.

What exactly is a "pitching lab"? a specific area for pitchers to do workouts and watch film?

on top of that, i think it has instrumentation built into it that caters more to the analytical approach. Remember the "sports science" program that espn used to show?

Breaks down pitching motion, etc. Pretty cool technology. Not sure how much of an improvement it is but every good pitcher seems to think it absolutely helps.

All I can say is that he pitched in MLB, and was a pitching coach as well. Might be able to install some mental toughness with the staff.

Not sure how I feel about that, but Earley is definitely putting a good staff together. Rumor is that he would have come back years ago but had already signed his contract. No idea. Keep the pitchers coming. Two more since the last post.
